And it’s worked great, idc if bud light goes down for it but I do feel for the workers who are affected over this and point out the hypocrisy and ignorance of ppl who think it’s just BL. Or like Nike during BLM or NFL with blm or colleges letting men compete against women. Or how conservatives hated cancel culture but now conservatives and trans, on the same side, are putting BL out of business. Most don’t consider that. Or I see how AB helped out with sanitizer for covid or canned water for natural disasters and realize they’ll learn their lesson.

Or I’m not a sheep and realize you opened your phone to a google browser while wearing some clothes by some company who hate you, while you eat and consume other brands that hate you, drive around in a car where the companies will go green and go to work with idiots who support trans but BUD LIGHT BAD! there’s a handful of companies who own everything who support trans and hate you but nobody cares about that actual fact.
Why don’t you relax a little. Clearly you are right and it’s not up for debate that 99% of companies are push this BS. But it’s a process for people to come around to it. For some, this BL thing maybe the last domino to fall and others the first. Point is that people start to realize they have a choice and more importantly, sone companies realize that people have a choice.

quote:But someone has to be made an example of. It cannot be all companies at once.
It’s all companies and ubiquitous in society now that trans is okay.
DIS, a children's marketer, decided it wanted to support grooming. That is not okay. DIS assumed they were big and powerful enough to tell anyone opposed to sexualizing 1st graders, F*#K YOU!
DIS put a target on their back, until they back away from that stance, I'm all for the SOBs getting smacked around. If DIS gets stung, corporate America will observe "if they can tag DIS, they can tag any of us."
AB is a slightly different situation.
As opposed to DIS, which deliberately took a pro-groomer position, initially AB was more careless than deliberate. But they've stepped in one steaming dogpile after the other since then. At some point, one unfortunate company must be made an example of. AB may be that company. When/if that example and downfall occurs, it will impact behavior throughout the corporate world.
That's how cancel culture works. It's essentially economic terrorism. One isolated attack drives fear across a spectrum. The left began cancelling early in Obama's tenure. The right is a decade and a half late to the game.
Ironically, I'm not a Cancel Culture proponent at all. But in an asymmetrical war, the restrained side gets destroyed. So the gloves have to come off.

Obviously not with the two tards earlier and me having to explain it. I want any company who pushes this shite to burn.

Partly true.

1.) Not canceling. Canceling would be attempting to disrupt advertising, loans, distributors, etc. This is an old fashion boycott.
2.) It doesn't matter if there are worse companies, the message has been sent. You can't boycott every company, all you can do is pick a few and let the others wonder "will we be one of the few if we pull the same shite?".

I wasn't even aware of the JD issue. I just looked it up and saw they sponsored Ru Paul drag whatever. Fine. I am done with JD. I only bought it on rare occasions. I think that is why it had as little an impact as the bud lite stuff - that I only bought a few times in my life, but I know people that drank it like water. Those people are done.
It is easy to mock trans beer when your buddy has a can of that crap in their hands. JD in a class, not so easy.

A lot more people drink light beer than whiskey

Because the vast majority of the people speaking out aren't doing so about the actual can. They're doing so because the BL exec came out and shite on their entire customer base, dinkus.
The a good number think the cans were widely distributed and there were commercials. The vast majority couldn’t give a a sharp accurate narrative of what happened.

The reaction to BL is basically the perfect example of “the straw that broke the camels back”.
