To start, the teen years suck for everyone. There is awkwardness, growing pains, wanting to be accepted, wondering where you fit in, being teased by the “in crowd”, etc… It can be brutal, even if you’re straight. But, for those who struggle with their identity more than the norm, it can be really brutal.

I feel that the reason why so many in this generation identify as LGBTQIA is that there are evil people out there preying on this segment of the population. These people make them feel like they belong- no judgement. What is it, 25% of this generation identifies as something other than straight? 40% at Brown University?
This regime has also cast a spotlight on the LGBTQIA community- showing lude parades and drag Queen story hours, amongst other things. Hollywood has also shoved it down our throats.
Obviously, there has been backlash over the last year or so, as every day Americans say “that’s enough.” These impressionable people see that as an attack on them and their chosen lifestyle too.
It would be be hard for someone to radicalize that behavior through operant conditioning, mind control, or simply suggestion.
Like I said, just my opinion.

Probably the same reason that “youths” in the Middle East are easily radicalized…
If you have no chance of reproduction, you have no reason to keep things going after you are gone.
In the ME, this is a case of the rich having multiple wives while youths are highly unlikely to ever have one.
With the alphabet people, gays and lesbians won’t have kids without external help (surrogates or sperm donors) while trans people typically wreck their ability to reproduce completely between removing organs and various hormone treatments.
