The bill has 300B in bloat. Why would a single republican vote for that? If it were just health care, it would already be passed.

Because they voted for it once already. The ONLY difference in the bill was the removal of this statement

"Not A Taxable Benefit.—A contract buy out for a covered health care professional under subsection (a) shall not be considered a taxable benefit or event for the covered health care professional."

That is because any tax-related law has to START in the house.

There is no logical reason for the republicans to vote yes, then switch the vote to a no because of the removal of a tax clause. The bill was mandatory spending the first time they approved it.

Sometimes it pays to wait until you know all the facts before making an assumption...must I remind you of what assuming does?

Chuck Schumer, the sneaky old bitch that he is, tacked an additional item onto the bill that was to help these veterans and had full support from Republicans. The gimmick was going to include 400 billion additional dollars to be spent on who knows what? But it wasn't going to go to the veterans, you can bet your arse.
Now that it's been exposed, Schumer is taking it out of the bill and all will vote on it in a few days.
Yeah, Republicans for catching this low life's sneaky gimmick play.

What all is stuffed into the bill besides Veteran's Healthcare?

Spending into perpetuity without a sunset. Being one of the Vets this bill is supposed to help, I’m all for taking care of folks that had burn pit exposure but I'm also smart enough to know the VA will frick this up if they know the funding will never end. If the left truly “cares” about us, do what the right suggested, authorize it for 10 years, re-evaluate it at that time, and if more funds are needed, pass another bill.

I looked at both versions, and am missing this additional spending. Have you seen the language? I have looked through a number of times.

As a Marine veteran with two combat deployments under my belt this is disgusting.

Absolute shame on the cuck know. as Ted Cruz for fist bumping after denying veterans the healthcare needed.

You can be a republican and still be upset by this decision.

The DEMS load EVERY bill with unrelated shite....

They are so evil, they can't promote their bills straight-up and honest. They have to play this backdoor game that is SO obvious and childish. Cheating, lying MFers.

In Nancy Pelosi words, you have to pass the bill before you know what is in it. They probably have a few blank pages written in invisible ink that will show up after it is passed.

When you get to page 140 there is a bunch of bonuses, payouts, & student loan payments for VA employees.

It a bill for burn pit injuries to soldiers not for VA employees.

Because they don't care about the troops. Not that Democrats do either.no one really does, otherwise there wouldn't be so many left homeless and disabled.
