you'll love this comrade, the maximum amount you pay into social security has gone from $6000 5 years ago to $10,100 last year and remember your employer matches that so that means i paid $20,100 last year for the same benefit i paid $12,000 five years ago did my benefit go up it will be the same $3,600 that clinton cut it to under the famous "bipartisan social security fix" in 1994.

my generation took an $800 haircut on our max monthly benefit in that bill and last year that cost me $20,100 i didn't vote for that, congress didn't vote for that, the SSA just did it.

when that bill passed you maxed out your social security at 60k

I wonder if that’s because the size of the cut correlates with the amount someone pays.

DUH

Such dumb assery on this board.

Yep. The wealthy get a large share of the cuts like always. The poors are seal clapping about tips when they already have a large standard deduction to reduce their taxable income to virtually zero as is.

If the poors already pay no taxes then wouldn’t that mean the wealthy are the only ones who can get a tax cut?

It’s ridiculous.. I work with some who make way less than me … yet they’re for everything that benefits people more financially well-off than themselves… bumper sticker and flag waving, MAGA supporters… receiving every benefit the government offering (food stamps, section 8) yet will publicly talk down on these programs… brag about not getting health insurance during open enrollment because naturally they not down with “Obamacare”… none served in the military ., none have a college degree…despise DEI for some unknown reason … not understanding it has never affected them… claim Mexicans are depressing their wages… again not understanding the Migos making more than them because they better at the job…in that respect they have a point .. over the last 17 years being involved in residential and commercial construction… they have been phased out… not due to wages though due to people being better at said job

I guess saving $10 is $10 while rich folks get that fat tax break.

How do Trump's tax cuts compare to Biden's tax cuts?

I'm going to guess that most of us have been "poors" at some point in our lives, like when we were just starting out. For the most part, a percentage of people stay that way because they make poor choices or refuse to leave the comfort of free stuff if they qualify.

I appreciate the opportunity to move into higher tax brackets over the years and also appreciate any chance to see the government not penalize hard work and success vs. incentivize lack of effort and poor decisions.

Perhaps some of the poors recognize their potential?

Every thread about anything having to do with economics always shows that you guys just parrot shite without having a clue what you’re talking about. Even your verbiage is ignorant and stupid.

The poors were scammed and fleeced once again and think they won.
