He drives straight to GED classes when he gets off in the morning. What about that is easy to you?
The easier route would have been just graduate high school as a kid. Then no need to get your ged while working fast food as a young man.

So, Obamacare is ultimately killing rural hospitals?
Go figure. It’s almost like we all predicted this and said we would end up like the UK.

I made similar sacrifices that some people might consider hardships and saw no issue with it

In order to pay for tax cuts, millions of people will lose Medicaid and and at least one million people will lose SNAP eligibility.
It seems like society readily accepted the work requirements put into the Clinton era Work Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act which overhauled the US welfare system.
I wonder what reasoning people use to suddenly take issue with the same concept now being extended to Medicaid?

Based on your claims 1/3rd are flat out fraud, why are you so keen to protect them? We absolutely need to cut medicaid by... well according to you 1/3rd

Normal functioning people do this. Doing things like that to advance a career is quite normal. I made similar sacrifices that some people might consider hardships and saw no issue with it. Why do you view that as hard?
The poster I replied to said he looks down on fast food workers because they took the easy way out. I described a situation that was not easy. Personally, I think it would be hard to work a fast food job at any time because you have to deal with the public. I also think working overnight would be difficult for me.
You're calling these things sacrifices but also calling them easy. The very nature of a sacrifice is that it is not easy.

The easiest route would have been to be born wealthy, but some people have to start paying rent when they turn 18. It's hard to make rent while attending high school.
Next time I see him, I'll be sure to tell him he should have just graduated high school as a kid. Excellent advice.

In your childish propaganda filled post you forgot TWO words that makes all the difference and of course you did it either on purpose or out of pure ignorance or both. Those TWO KEY words are millions of ILLEGALS and INELIGIBLE people will finally stop getting undeserved Medicaid and snap benefits. But you do you boo.

I had a job in high school. I also graduated with academic scholarships.

Priva
Did you have earn enough money to support yourself entirely while attending high school?
I will never understand why people here refuse to give poor people credit for anything. It's impressive that an 18 year old was able to fully support himself, work his way up to manager and is still committed to getting his GED so he can better himself. Instead of acknowledging that, you're like "So what? I worked 6 hours a week and got a scholarship."

Because they're STUPID! Simple answer....and I'll bet they're Democrats. You see, those stupid Democrats spread vicious rumors that circulate among the dumbest of the dumb (fellow Democrat voters) and before you know it they all buy into the lies. They aren't intelligent enough to do their own research into the rumors. Use-car salesman love these kind of folks!

What claims, specifically? Medicaid fraud is a problem, but if I recall correctly, it's the providers committing the fraud, not the enrollees.

Can you quote or link the post of mine you're referring to?

I thought you were the queen of “don’t make assumptions!”
You think I grew up rich?
I spent my summers pulling wire in attics and digging ditches for conduit in office building slabs. I kept another job on weekends and nights during school.
And I didn’t quit. Hell it motivated me. And it worked. All the way through Mississippi State University.

I haven't given a single thought to the financial situation of your family of origin.

Can you acknowledge that there is difference between working during summers and part-time during the school year while living with your family and having to fully support yourself as a teenager?
