I don’t see how she grows her base of support. The Fleming block isn’t moving and the Cassidy vote didn’t like her in the first round. I think she’s cooked.
The Cassidy vote didn't like Fleming either.
Big question is how many people won't show up at all for the runoff. The ABC voters already have what they wanted.

What is Letlow’s stance on Carbon capture ? I know Fleming has come out strongly against it. One of the reasons I voted for him

I hope Fleming wins. Anything can happen between now and the run-off. That being said, she appears to be in good shape with 45% of the vote tonight.
Everything about this chick screams democrat but Trump anointed her so sheep DGAF.

Fleming needs to educate Louisiana about his resume and highlight Letlow's main accomplishment was her husband getting elected.
Unfortunately, this involves educating Louisiana.

Flemiing's support was deep but was never wide. Yet it wasn't that deep, per FEC reporting, his supporters didn't think he was worth sending a few bucks to help his campaign. He loaned his campaign $10 million for not much

Letlow ran against 2 other major candidates and only got 45% of the vote.
"Only" 45%?
Runoffs generally have lower turnout (30%-60% lower). What this means is that the runoff is likely to be decided by who has the most momentum.
-She beat Fleming by nearly 20 points in the general election. That's momentum Fleming doesn't have.
-She has Trump's endorsement. That's yuge momentum Fleming doesn't have (or has only limited access to via having worked in the Trump I administration).
-The real push in the general was to get rid of Cassidy. That's done. At best both Fleming and Letlow share that decline in momentum equally, which ends up being a positive for Letlow.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but highly improbable that Fleming wins the runoff.

All of which is sad, because the only reason she is being backed is that Johnson and Scalise see her as a lock to vote in line with the party. Plus the carbon capture lobby.
I really don’t get why she is in office (but for the money). Her late husband won one race. That’s it. That’s the extent of her resume. Fleming has a much stronger resume. Not sure why Trump endorsed her but for the other reps telling him to. Sigh.

1) Trump
2) This close to 50% in a primary usually translates to a win due to decreased turnout in the run-off
3) Trump
4) Shes a woman, and will get a decent portion of Cassidys N.O. base due to that fact
5) Trump
6) Fleming is 75 years old, and the states voters just told judges that had to retire at 70 years old
7) Trump
8) Fleming called Trump reprehensible (just like Cassidy did in his concession speech), so they are a lot alike
9) Landry

It’s simple math based on the primary results.
Try just a little bit.

Fleming seems to have a ceiling. He did win State Treasurer against weak opponents. His third statewide race and couldn't come close to closing the deal.

At the end of the day, what else is there really to care about for a Senator, from the perspective of a voter?

And that her fiancé is a lobbyist for carbon sequestration.

Women will vote overwhelmingly for her as they did yesterday.

Solid theory. Not gonna lie, Riverside secretly being Jeff Crouere would explain a lot, and not in a good way.

Imagine being this confidently stupid while fabricating evidence for your own conspiracy theory.

Speaking of simple math, how do Letlow and Flemings war chests compare?
