You know.. I’ll put it on my list.

I’m almost done with “The Greatness of Democracy and Public Empowerment” by Kim Jeong il

I really recommend “Peace, Stability, Equity, and a Free Nation” by Pol Pot

The constitution guarantees the right to own a gun. It does not guarantee you a gun. Housing is similar.

If the constitution guaranteed the right to affordable guns then you might have had some point to make.

The OP should write this on the blackboard ten times.

How about we start with a coherent response. Then we will go from there.

Is the OP in Jr high because this is some low IQ understanding of the constitution, housing, economics, etc

no man, this is the kind of shite people think. seriously when i travel out of my little bubble i am freaking amazed at the iq level out there

we play football in the ward 3 flag league and every saturday is an eye opening expierence at the Iq level. think about all those foreclosed houses you buy and think about the iq level of most of the former owners, granted there are some that just got in over there head due to bad circumstances, but 99% are due to people just not being very smart.

every time i leave our little bubble of the upper middle class and wealthy in the LC area, mainly when i get out of SLC...i am freaking shocked at how dumb people are.

i honestly do not know how SFP deals with the idiots on daily basis in his job. I deal with contractors but i normally only deal with the management and atleast the guys they manage want to work. outside of scaffold builders most are good guys just trying to make a decent living. atleast i dont have to really deal with dead beats.

Bc “affordable” isn’t a yes/no situation.

1. capitalism. this extends to hedge funds buying up new subdivisions making all residents renters.
2. capitalism. Arabs and Chinese and rich Americans buy houses they don't live in. you pay rent.

3. terrible public housing built on the cheap.

Stupid comparison

The Constitution doesn’t give you the right to an “affordable” firearm, it only gives you the right to own a firearm.

What you’re suggesting is the Constitution should guarantee you a home at an affordable price. Does the Constitution guarantee you a right to an affordable firearm?

And for something to be made affordable by law, wouldn’t that require some sort of price control? Price controls run counter to individual liberty because you’re telling someone what they have to charge for their goods or services. Doesn’t sound at all Constitutional.

I despise people who think like more than anything else in the world. Why in the hell would you be for something that restricts your rights as an American?

It's assholes like you who turn a free country into socialist then a communist country. So willing to give up your rights for false security.

4. Buy a plot of land. Build a house. Build equity. Start a family. Love a system that lets you do that. And live happy.

How many of those "mass" shootings are in cases where the victims are armed? Now, take out of those all the cases where people involved have kneck and face tattoos, how many cases are left.

America doesn't have a gun problem. America has a cultural problem wherein a certain subset of the culture thinks following the law is optional or allowing themselves to be 'dissed.

Clean that shite up and get back to me.

Our first house, straight out of the Air Force, was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath fixer-upper on 2 acres that we bought for $16,000. It took a whole lot of work, some mistakes and many re-do's.. but we learned new skills while fixing it up and then made a nice profit when we sold.

Dude, read what you just wrote.

The common pattern in this thread is you are not even taking the time to think about what you are saying.

Why do you think Karl Marx wrote a book about capitalism? Any chance he might have a competing theory that requires people to disdain economic transactions that require a mutually agreeable price? Might he have a theory that wants to take power away from the consumer?

Do you really think anyone should use that book to define capitalism ? Did you not notice the poor reasoning skills, the arbitrary assumptions, and the demonstrably false conclusions?

To his credit, Marx did understand that greed drove prices down. Outside of that, he didn’t get much else right.

Because that Amendment hasn't been written. Why don't you start a movement?

In general terms, our foundation is based on freedom to pursue happiness, not guarantees of its provision.

Personally, I would start by putting limits on sudden rent increases if you lived in an area for ____ years. Stop the overseas buying of property, where buyers (like China) make money by not having tenants in large buildings (market exclusivity), invest/renovate already existing public housing projects, give newly graduated college students some sort of financial help in owning property (if they are looking to get into the job marke)t, and stop billionaires from building skyscrapers in heavily homeless urban areas. If you're serious, then you're an idiot. Being allowed to own a firearm doesn't cost anyone other than the buyer....not so with the other.

Im pretty sure school shooters steal their parents guns all the time. Is it the owner, the user, or the access to the gun at fault?
