I've read a bunch of articles on the new tax bill and liberals seem be upset about corporations "keeping" more money. Calling them evil and what not. Look, if you want to be upset about billionaires paying less taxes, sure knock yourself out. But corporations employ people, the vast majority of which are middle class or lower. They are also likely owned by large pension funds full of working class peoples retirement.

1) muh profits
2) muh lack of democratic structures
3) (this is legitimate) regulatory capture that fricks over smaller corporations

Because they are successful. Left-wingers can't wrap their heads around the concept of success. They don't believe that anyone ever actually earns or accomplishes anything. They view life's winners as somehow scammers or oppressors

It’s getting serious in Louisiana. The traffic today has to be from everyone buying supplies for the tax cut deaths about to affect us and those even corporations.

Show me where a rational person has said that corporations are evil.

Go on.

Shareholders vote on several key items.

Most companies have some level of meritocracy, certainly more than smaller privately owned business.

Because people are either ignorant, pushing an agenda or jealous that they haven't pursued ownership in said corporations.

I doubt anyone thinks all corporations are evil. I think Walmart is shitty as they don't treat their employees well, imo, and rely on government assistance to subsidize their employees salaries/wages, essentially.

No matter how good or bad a corporation may be, they have no power to remove life or liberty from people. On the other hand, they have to try to please as many people as possible because they are incentivized through profit. If they don't please their customers, they lose money because we are free to spend our money however we wish.

We are not free to choose to pay taxes and we aren't free to disassociate from the government. If the government says I have to do something, I have to do it. If I don't, I'll be fined or imprisoned. An evil government is far, far worse than an evil corporation and I don't think the left will ever acknowledge that.

They are not evil. However, they are amoral and will maximize shareholder value by any means necessary, bound only by local laws or lack thereof. Corporations that operate within a legal framework in this or other first world countries have no scruples about propping up corrupt dictators or operating death squads in areas where they can get away with it. See: Exxon in Central America for one example.

Corporations are Govt created artificial entities and creatures of statute.

The protections they provide to individuals is 100% on the regulatory nature of government.

The left hates them because corporations run on facts and figures, and not on feelings.

Congrats. You just described nation states as well. If companies didn't work to maximize profits within the law, they would be harming their own employees in the long run.

Because they believe in planned economies and think private ownership should be banned, and that corporations are corrupt and greedy and lead to inequality, so all means of production should be state owned to ensure equality and integrity.

Yet they ignore that governments will be just as greedy and corrupt, the only equality will be poverty except for Govt officials, and in this case they get to do it while pointing a gun at your head.

A rational person hasn't said this. Liberals are irrational though

By default, government is more likely to have the power to take over an economy and create a dystopia.

However, when corporations become large enough they can become just a corrupt and indirectly control military and legal power with powerful influence.

It takes more time than government. But the corporate can control law when they have the virtual financial control over all the means of production.

Corporations are not inherently evil, but there pursuit of profits over anything else can potentially (and has)lead to evil practices.
