A billion dollars buys a lot of blind politicians.

Are you implying he didn’t donate to republicans as well?
If you have proof, show it.
If that was true, it would be blasted 24/7 in the media till he was in shackles.
His donations to democrats are well documented, hence the media blackout.

He would have to be extradited first. It is my understanding that the government is trying to get the ball rolling on this.

It's been reported on this board multiple times.
He was greasing the political machine to get a seat at the table when crafting the regs for his industry. It wasn't specifically partisan as much as just classic crony capitalism.

It was absolutely partisan

The feds aren't going to just arrest him on a hunch and then do the investigation.
But raiding MAL on a hunch and then doing the investigation was perfectly fine, despite the fact that they found nothing?

But raiding MAL on a hunch
Dude this is not the example you think it is. They went back and forth for months, if my memory is correct over a year, before they did the raid.
Now the raid was a big unnecessary show of force. I can't believe I have to keep adding qualifications but just so that this doesn't get diverted. The point is that they had a long investigation and communication process before they got search warrant
Lastly, Trump wasn't arrested
So no your example has no applicability to this discussion

Here's a nugget I did not know...his parents are Profs at Stanford Law and he used them to bolster his credibility among investors.

Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of the collapsed exchange FTX, always stood apart from other cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, and it wasn’t for his baggy shorts or taste in videogames.
Both his parents, as Mr. Bankman-Fried would note in meetings with Washington policy makers, are professors at Stanford Law School. Their reputations were a credential to their son as he grew his crypto empire, even to those inclined to see little value in the industry.
quote:
Ms. Fried co-founded a super PAC known as Mind the Gap, which aims to use statistical analysis to help determine which Democratic candidates to support financially. She has resigned as chairwoman, her spokeswoman said.
Mr. Bankman has pushed for a system where the government would perform the role of tax preparer for American workers. Tax preparers lobbied against it. He poured $35,000 of his own money into counter-lobbying in California.
quote:
Ms. Fried and Mr. Bankman raised their two sons on the Stanford campus, near a student house known for its vegan food and nude parties.
Ms. Fried and Mr. Bankman often spoke to their young sons as if they were adults and encouraged others to do the same, friends and colleagues said. While many of the other children would leave the table at the Sunday dinner parties to watch TV in another room, Sam and his younger brother, Gabe, usually stayed with the adults.
quote:
FTX’s troubles, and Mr. Bankman-Fried’s central role, have reverberated through faculty lounges across the country. Last month, Stanford colleagues bristled when Bill Maher took aim at Mr. Bankman and Ms. Fried during a segment on his HBO show.
Mr. Maher noted essays by Ms. Fried that seem to categorize personal responsibility and blame as outdated. “You were raised wrong,” the comedian said, punctuating with a profanity.

Oh but it does.
But qualify away, if it makes you feel (D)ifferent.

Probably needs to be indicted first and that requires a thorough forensic accounting. That takes awhile

Um, direct comparisons is not "qualifying"
When was Trump arrested?
What time elapsed from the first correspondence about the records and the raid?

At what ratio, 25:1, D>R?
Was he the #2 political donor to republicans like he has been proven to be so for dems?
Open your eyes.
If it was even close to a 1:1 ratio, the media would be crucifying him as a republican donor, but they can't because it would shine the light on dirty leftist politics.
