What's up man, still holding it down in BR?

I gotcha. My buddy said Watson posted something on his Facebook about it, so I'm just going off of second hand knowledge here.

Yessir! Where you at these days?

And Watson had finally realized or gotten the news that he had no shot so he went on a binge and was throwing the blame around everywhere except to himself for running a bad campaign and coupled with the fact he never had a shot to begin with

I voted Watson but I considered Carter as well. The reason BR Republicans will never win anything is because they eat their own. The only Democrats on the ballot were the incumbent Broome and Denise Marcel, who won’t win any votes outside the deep ghetto. Meanwhile there’s a ton of republicans vying for the mayor on the ballot, shattering the white vote. Baton Rouge needs some republican primaries to weed out some of these fools or they won’t win shite ever again in BR, which is probably already the case

Nice, I'm jealous. Moved back to Thib for the time being, but I have nothing to complain about.

I gotcha. I have a buddy who really likes Watson so that's about my entire knowledge base of this election.

Technically Im across the river I just say BR to make it easy.

And I just so happen to be very connected to some people in the race. Its pretty interesting even though its a local race

Incumbent Sharon Weston Broome, who is running for her second term, is leaps and bounds ahead of her rivals, raking in $523,400 — or nearly half of all contributions.

She's followed in fundraising by former state Rep. Steve Carter with $272,400; businessman Jordan Piazza with $153,500; Metro Council Member Matt Watson with $88,500; state Rep. C. Denise Marcelle with $66,300; and attorney E Eric Guirard with $750.

This should tell you all you need to know.

Carter is about as exciting of a candidate as Joe Biden.

A career in state politics with little to show for any effort.

He literally couldn’t provide a resolution or opinion on how to mediate the St George incorporation when asked early in his campaign. Arguably one of the top 3 issues he will face. That’s a huge clue that he likely never really had interest in the job and was only a plant to take votes away from another candidate.

Republicans need to get unified and behind one candidate tomorrow.

Piazza is a Republican in name only. I can’t get fired up behind a kid with 6 years in business that he rode the coat tails of his father to acquire.

Marcelle is the real hero for Republicans in this election. Her presence almost guarantees that Broome doesn’t get 51% and it gets sent to a run off.

Above all, please remember that you have to vote twice to get your candidate elected in EBR. That means you have to show back up in a month.

Get United. Go vote. Twice.

Carter joined at the end, per Russian is was due to surgery
As another poster said there are too many Republicans running splitting up the vote which gives Broome an easier chance of winning

I don’t care for Carter & some of the things he said in the forums but if he’s in a run off against Broome I will 100% vote for him

Piazza is a snake RINO that has zero business being the mayor of anything. It's a miracle he hasn't fricked up Uncle Earl's yet.

I am voting for Watson this go-round, but I will vote for either Watson or Carter, whoever faces Broome in the runoff.

Piazza doesn’t ever really go there. There’s another guy who is a part owner who runs the place and I have made friends with him over the years. There was one night Piazza came and he talked to a few, but he was sort of a douche. There was also another lady with them who might’ve been his mother or aunt I don’t know but she was a fricking Karen all night and ruined any chance I was voting for him with her dramatic bullshite
