There honestly isn't a single brain cell combined with the mayor candidates.

It's depressing.

Big drug problem, not that that makes him a bad person, and impeding assault charges might make you feel differently

That’s pretty slanderous to put out there with no context

I voted Watson, if Wicker were in it, she probably would have gotten my vote.

Steve Carter is the only conserative that has a real shot to get into the run off imo. Watson looked good for awhile but he could not raise enough money for the end run.

Carter joining the race at the last minute pretty much fricked over any chance of getting Broome out
incorrect, Wicker not being able to handle her tax situation and getting booted killed the cities best shot at getting rid of broome. Many local conservaties were backing wicker thinking she was the best shot at beating broome and the easiest to get on board with their ideas.

She might just win it outright.

Watson and Carter were dead even in the first poll before the debates. I have no clue where they’re at now.

Carter is the best funded candidate, and Watson is the worst. However, I feel Carter’s personality is such that he cannot win a runoff. Piazza has a decent personality and decent money, but I don’t know if his campaign ads will be enough to get him into the runoff. If he made a runoff, I think he could do very very well.

BR is screwed if Piazza wins

I would have to seriously think about who to vote for between him & Broome

IMO Broome is a lazy waste of space, Piazza is arrogant enough to be really bad for BR

I see Matt Watson out doing stuff to try to make this city better more than I see any of the others out there.

I see piazza as a charismatic face for the city, a cheerleader and figurehead in the Kip mold who will need to bring in someone much more experienced to handle the day to day operations of the bureaucracy. I think Piazza could be good for cleaning up the permit department and courting businesses to invest here, but I do have concerns about his ability to actually manage the city. I think it will all depends on who he hires. Broome has already proven herself completely incompetent in that respect, so I would pick “maybe incompetent” over “proven incompetent” any day.

Which is why I’ll be voting for him, hoping he makes the runoff, and hoping that if he does, that most of those financially backing Piazza and Carter will help fund him in the runoff.

Meanwhile there’s a ton of republicans vying for the mayor on the ballot, shattering the white vote. Baton Rouge needs some republican primaries to weed out some of these fools or they won’t win shite ever again in BR, which is probably already the case

How about a decent Democrat?

Yeah, I know that's funny
