depends....the list that helps trump win might be a different order than the list that has the person I want in 28...or earlier should trump leave early.

I hear ya. But...
If its rigged it don't matter who the VP is.
If its not and DJT wins I think it is very important to have a VP the Deep State wants less than Trump. Sad to think such. But I believe it to be true.

Trump needs to try and broaden his appeal and bring back those Republicans/Independents that have doubts about him but do not have TDS. Create a situation where they are comfortable voting for him. Alleviate any doubts that they have. Picking one of the diehard Maga crowd will not do this.

First priority in selecting a VP candidate is who can be most helpful in winning the election. Youngkin, if he can deliver VA best fits that criteria. Rubio, Vivek, Burghum don’t really help. Vance, Daniels and Carson may help bring in the black vote nationally but perhaps not in any specific key swing state (how well liked is Carson in MI?). Sanders and Stefanik may bump the soccer mom vote, but would that help more than winning VA?

Second criteria is who could be most effective as POTUS if required? Again Youngkin fits the criteria well, as does Rubio, Burghum and Sanders. And probably Stefanik too. Not so much the rest.

Last criteria is who is most ideologically aligned with Trump and the MAGA movement? Youngkin, Rubio, Vance are not strong here. Sanders, Burghum, Carson are. Daniels and Stefanik are middling, Vivek talks the talk now, but is he really?

I have a hard time believing it’ll be another white guy. So I’d go with Carson or Sanders. Youngkin would be the best fit though.

I hate identity politics but unfortunately the majority of black voters have severe mistrust in white people, especially those with an R next to their name.(mostly due to lies and propaganda) If the Republican Party wants to sway black people away from the democrat party they need black messengers at or near the top of the party.

Someone who can both possibly deliver a state / electorate base… as well as capable to serve as Prez if called upon.

That being said…Youngkin or Rubio.

Youngkin won a statewide election in Virginia, where the polls show a tie at the moment, could be the difference in winning Va.

Rubio is extremely popular among Hispanics as well as the establishment wing of the base. Both groups help in key swing states.

Both are capable to be commander in chief.
