They also know that Trump trusts Putin and Trump favors a lot of Putin's interests (weakening NATO). They like that Putin tried to get Trump elected and will again

That statement is utter bull shite!

Trump didn’t favor a weakened NATO. Please show where he wanted NATO weakened! He did however say stop being mooching bitches! Which is a fact?

Putin didn’t try to get Trump elected. He tried to weaken him via all the bull shite Hillary and the Dems did. He sat laughing at us as you and people like you trumpeted completely false accusations. The only people that colluded with Russia where the people who brought those false accusations!

I’m not sure you can read, to be honest.

Can you? I know you love ad hominem attacks, but the article posted 100% defends Putin and dismisses the damning charges against him.

And you have RiverCityTider in there as usual sucking Putin's dick.

As I've said...there are DEFINITELY people on this board that praise him. We can be honest (and the vast majority of people on this board are and have been) that Putin is a thug POS while still not caring or wanting to get involved, and acknowledging that our own "leadership" sucks too.

Trump?

quote:

"I went in yesterday, and there was a television screen, and I said, 'This is genius.' Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine — of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that's wonderful," Trump said when asked about the news. "I said, 'How smart is that?' And he's going to go in and be a peacekeeper."

And so of course 95% of this board as well, whether they admit it or not.

Please show us where Trump said he wanted to break up NATO……hint you can not!

Ditto for you

quote:

-“Which brings us to the most sinister allegation against him: Putin, trained as “a KGB thug,” regularly orders the killing of inconvenient journalists and personal enemies, like a “mafia state boss.” This should be the easiest demonizing axiom to dismiss because there is no actual evidence, or barely any logic, to support it. And yet, it is ubiquitous. ”

Getting worked up about Trump comments just seems so tired and unproductive. I don't think it even changes minds anymore, it's just fodder for the hard left to get themselves in a tizzy.

The middle of the country knows that's just how he talks, he's not going to change, and it doesn't mean anything. Everyone already has a position as to whether it's smart/stupid/etc. and has for years.

Where is this outrage and condemnation when lefty reporters are drooling all over people like Xi Jinping, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Qasem Soleimani, or a number of other horrible people?

Maybe if we stopped electing weak, hyper-feminine, effete, mom jean wearing losers to our highest offices, no one would look at a guy like Putin with any level of respect.

Chernobyl was 36 years ago. They just approved Nordstream. This seems like a stretch. You are going to have to provide a lot of evidence to back that up

Here's an article from 2009 which makes the claim. LINK

There are other sources as well about the decline of nuclear energy in Germany being tied to Chernobyl specifically. The phase-out agreement was set up so that all nuclear power plants would be mothballed by 2022, which might explain the recent agreement about gas with Russia. France went in the opposite direction, but France and Germany are tied together in most foreign affairs for good reason.

Trump didn't even understand how NATO is financed and the 2% thing long predated Trump and he just used it as a line to attack the alliance. His ambassador to Germany was shitting on the alliance and stirring up dissension among the allies. All of this helped Putin.

So were any of our Allie’s paying their fair share? Please answer that?

Putin played Europe, Obama and Biden like a fiddle. Is it wrong to note the truth? That isn’t praise that is respect and I have no problem being truthful.

Where are people getting the notion that Putin played anyone? NATO was effectively sidelining Russia for a long-time, chipping away at Russia's sphere of influence. Russia did very little to stop that march eastward, much of which was driven by the security concerns of those Eastern states, as they themselves would rather be closer aligned with the West than be in Russia's sphere.
