I want to say yes, but after looking at some of these secret service agents in action, I'm leaning towards incompetence.

If the government is denying more more SS just like they are denying RFK SS what's the difference. Many people already want to kill these people just like I'm sure some wackos would kill Biden. They are just making it easier to happen.

If it was a sanctioned hit there would have been more than 1 shooter and Trump would be dead.
More than likely SS fricked up the protection. The advanced security team is probably filling out resumes this morning.

In 1976 I was at Woodrow Wilson park in Birmingham and shook hands with President Gerald Ford during a campaign event.
Before the President arrived my dad pointed out how every visible roofline had security of some sort with rifles.
I find it hard to believe that a building with sight line would not be secured for a campaign event.

I have been having those exact same thoughts this morning. Not really in a conspiracy way I think the SS was just entirely incompetent all around here. How can you sit watching a man with a loaded rifle set up and start shooting without shooting him first?

JFK..9/11
It’s not out of the realm of possibilities.

Did you see how many SS were right there immediately after and ushering him into the vehicle? Did you see the snipers on the rooftop behind Trump? One was pointing his rifle in the direction of the shooter. Don't overthink this. He was allowed to take those shots. Too much smoke

Ex Presidents and nominees don’t get near the protection as the sitting President.
SS has a 3 layer protection for a sitting President. When POTUS is in the move they have 1/4 mile ring where all traffic is stopped with constant air cover. When they fly in and out of airports all air traffic is shut down, ex presidents and nominees don’t get that level of protection.

I can’t say that I believe it was sanctioned, but I can say that the ineptness of the SS isn’t doing them any favors in dispelling that theory

Helicopter video indicates the SS snipers behind Trump had an obscured view due to trees.
I agree, don’t overthink this too much.

(2) the snipers had the guy in their sights, with a gun, while the president is talking (their scopes would allow them to clearly see the weapon) and the SS didn’t remove Trump and snipers didn’t shoot.
This line can be changed or add a 3rd.
2) The Sniper set up in a location he did not have clear view of the full line of shot field of the stage.
This seems to be very basic SS training right? You stand on the stage where Trump will be and you identify all the potential threat areas. How does this get missed if not intentional or gross incompetence?

This keeps getting repeated, but is it a fact?

Biden didn't sign off on it, no.
But his administration and media dogs have created an atmosphere where crazies can be pushed into thinking the are doing the world a service by this kind of act.
Add that to the blatant disregard of boundary security by Trump inept (at best) security detail and you have all the ingredients, you just have to bake the cake.
You don't need a formal conspiracy when everyone making security decisions for the opposition thinks he should die for you to stay in power.

If it wasn’t, then we have to go with how spectacularly incompetent our Secret Service is.
Even video game players know to look for snipers on rooftops.
No ground team to prevent snipers from climbing on rooftops?
The drone that took the pic of the sniper - drone pilot did not think to buzz the sniper?

This is the responsibility of the advanced security detail.

Number 2 is the easiest to answer, the rest, I think most of us see it the same way.
The hesitation by the counter sniper could be due to the way the assassin was dressed and his location. He was in fatigues similar to what military and police wear and located where some protection should have been.
He fires first and its law enforcement or the SS detail, he’s toast for life. That’s what I think about #2 anyway.

The fact this person was able to climb on an exposed roof just as Trump began speaking in broad daylight only 130ish yards from Trump, with a clear shot is hard to believe.
Also, the fact that a bystander saw him crawling on the roof before any law enforcement agents is also hard to believe.
The above points to an inside job or a high level of incompetence by the Secret Service.
The shooter was not a good shot. Not at all.
I'm thinking he was a mentally disturbed individual who got as far as he did due to blind luck and mistakes made by the SS.

No way they leave that up to some advanced team to tell them where to set up. If so then that is even more damning for the SS.

The roof the shooter was on was pitched. He side of the pitch he laid on was away from the AS snipers. It was probably hard for the SS snipers to get a shot. The shooter probably wasn't fully visible. IMHO
