This topic again.
OK...the fact is, that in June of 2021, China is not PHYSICALLY capable of taking over Taiwan, IF, IF, IF, and ONLY IF....the United States had real leadership and were willing to intervene..
Let me put it this way: Under (let's say) a Trump administration, the invading force of the Chinese would never make it close to Taiwan, and their ships and any invasion fleet would be sent to the bottom of the sea with massive catastrophic casualties. The United States and their Taiwanese partners would also establish a zone of complete air supremacy. The Chinese do not have the power projection capability (yet) to take over Taiwan, if the United States shows appropriate leadership.
However, under this sock puppet depends pissing dementia patient that currently infects the white house and leaks piss through his depends diaper upon the furniture he sits on administration, China has a good chance to succeed, although not guaranteed. Under this current cowardly surrenderist appeasing loser administration, no kinetic action would likely be taken to prevent China from trying their best to take over Taiwan.

They don’t need boats. They’d fly transports and land at the airports. It would happen so fast, sleepy joe couldn’t react quick enough and he wouldn’t shoot down their transports with F22s stationed in Japan.

If you look at the sea map, Taiwan is one of very few deep water ports along the Chinese coast. Not being in the hands of the Chinese severally hinders their naval power projection capabilities into the Philippine Sea.
You think Chinese meddling in the Pacific was bad now? Wait until they get Taiwan and have an unopposed “superhighway” through the Philippine Sea.

Let me ask you a very serious question. Do you feel strongly enough about this issue that you would be willing to let your kids die for it? Because if not, dont ask others to send their kids to die for a cause that you are not willing to sacrifice your kids for.

China isn't moving on Taiwan before the Olympics next year. The commies love the Olympics and they're not going to risk half the world boycotting their special event.

If you don't think the CCP's long con on Hong Kong isn't going to be 100% successful, and that they can't attempt something similar on Taiwan, you're crazy. There are a billion main land Chinese, not just the powerful CCP elite, that think Taiwan is just the same as Tibet or Xianjang, and that their rightful place is underneath the Chinese thumb.

Taiwan's Air Force is mostly 30 year plus F5 and some crappy home built fighter they made. China's Air Force could get control of the skies within 12 hours and bomb at will.
Not saying this is what they will do but China can take Taiwan by force anytime they choose. China will say they are responding to Taiwan aggression.

There are already political parties within Taiwan that call for reunification.
They will probably do a soft internal take over followed by military / policing "assistance" and it will be over.
China doesn't care about casualties they will feed any # of people to the meat grinder as needed for an objective.
They also don't care about international PR.
