Jeff Zucker is destroying that network

Oh you mean the channel 1 that we require them to watch in schools?

Of course, but before now I wouldn't have put CNN even in their league. Of course they had bias, they all do, but I didn't place them as far to the extreme as I do now.
I agree and it really seems fairly recent. In the late 90's-mid 2000's, CNN was a killer network. Now they are just sheep with an angle.
Or perhaps I was just clueless in picking up on their slant back then

When the police officer is cleared of this, these idiots won't have a damn thing to say about it.
They'll move on to another excuse for the thug that robbed a liquor store and tried to take this cops weapon and kill him. It'll be, well if the cop didn't stop the two black males, profiling, he wouldn't have been attacked in the first place...

Anybody who watches any major network looking for unbiased, straight down the middle truth is going to be disappointed. I would trust pretty much any network more than Fox, and none of them as far as I could throw them.

Oh, I'm conservative, but even I can see the slant Fox gives things, which is okay because I will mostly agree with them. Doesn't mean I don't see the slant. I will typically go back and forth between Fox and CNN when events like this happen, hoping I find the truth somewhere in there.
No disrespect, buddy...but the very idea that "slant" is a bad thing...is ludicrous. As though in Hamas v Israel, Hamas/Islamists should be given a fair shake.
Or that a rogue individual - caught on tape committing a felony mere minutes from when he resisted LE and was shot - is somehow deserving of a 'non-slanted' reportage.
I could go 'deep', and posit the philosophical idea that the choice to serve Self (Evil, Devil, Polar Opposite, et al) as an Absolute Value...is *equal* to that of subservience/acquiescence to the Whole/God/Singularity/Allah, et al. And an individual's choice and sovereignty would be equal. But the consequences of the *equal* choices therein damn sure wouldn't be equal.
CNN is in the tank for Authoritarian Statism. And ironically...so am I. Just that we differ on the Power at the core of Authority. I'm down for Jesus...they go with Man.

I watched their "international news team" coverage last night on CNN (2 Australians) and it was very hackish. They essentially tried to equate the whole ordeal to murdering innocent protesters in the street. They even brought in a 40 year vet of the LAPD to find out why they were cracking down on protesters because of "a few bad eggs". His response was that there's no way to surgically segregate the ones in the crowd that are shooting at the cops, so their methods were the most appropriate to protect the general public as well as the police. They didn't expect that answer.

I didn't have any respect for CNN to start with. They're the Der Sturmer / Pravda of our time.

The little respect that i had for CNN is now gone. Out of all the networks, in my mind they were at least somewhere close to center/left, but after this joke of a news story coverage, im done with them. The blatant race baiting is beyond obvious. All of these networks need to look in the mirror. Is Al Jazeera any good? I cant even believe im asking that in America.

Their late night coverage has been particularly shocking to me. They have been slanted to the point of downright lying about the events.

It is not just CNN. It is all major national news outlets. CNN isn't hyping the race angle because they are liberal, they are hyping it because that is the most salacious angle. They, like everyone else, want viewers/clicks/eyeballs.
If that means tarting up someone's death so be it. Riots and looting are just lagniappe.
It is fricking disgusting, but hardly unique to CNN.
We all saw it with Katrina. Tragic event with over 1000 dead; let's put a racial/political spin on it and blame Bush! That makes it more interesting to a national audience!
fricking vultures picking over corpses.

Yep, HC...sadly so.
Won't much matter. Politics has become so polluted, and dialogue so disingenuous, and politicians so damn greedy and power-intoxicated...that it'll likely be collapse and reboot, and the cream rising to the top to get us back on track anyway.
Be well.

They've been really bad since "the shakeup" 9 months or so ago. It's complete shite now. They dedicated a month ov 24/7 coverage to that damn plane.

FIFY.
It's important to have a healthy distrust of the media and their marriage to politics. This case has turned into a media frenzy. Who stands to gain from something like that?

I watched MSNBC for a while the other night and our own Melissa Perry was angry and pursuing the assassination angle with a couple race hustlers who were in Ferguson stoking the fires and even they were reluctant to play along with her hate. It was embarrassing. Inciting people to riot with false statements could be considered criminal, amirite?

I haven't lost respect for CNN because I never had any to begin with.
