Something like 16,000 people have died from the flu in the last year or so. My 13 year old had it and was out for a week and I had it too and it kicked our asses.

I haven't met anyone with the "Kung-Flu" but have met a lot of people that was put down by the flu..

I'm just curious to how many folks here caught a flu bug recently..

1998 was my last flu and I still haven't forgotten it.

Have a couple of friends (both in their 60's) who had a flu shot and both claim to have gotten the flu this past November. Both say it wasn't as severe as a typical flu but lingered more.

Our whole family caught it early March.

One or two members of our family were sick for 8 straight days.

I've been healthy all year (knock on wood) execpt for the last two weeks with a minor sore throat and slight malaise that comes and goes. Probably the mild version of COVID or seasonal allergies without a runny nose (which is different for me). I usually get a runny nose and watery eyes with seasonal allergies.

Our house has had both flu A and flu B this year. I'm down with B right now. Straight misery.

No flu or barely any cold for me this year. Did not take the flu shot this year but the wife and kids did.

My wife was in the hospital with severe pneumonia around New Years and is just now fully recovered. She tested negative for the flu twice.

I had Flu A about 1 month ago. Not too bad, actually. I think I was lucky. :)

The wife and I both had it in February. It wasn’t the Panda Express though; we both tested positive for the run-of-the-mill flu.

Caught A this year. Totally knocked me out for 4 days but didn’t really feel normal for 2 weeks.

Never had body aches like that before. My legs were throbbing. I was freezing cold and sweating profusely at the same time and ate zero food for 3 days.

It was.....not fun.

I don’t believe this is accurate.
