Yeah I had no clue about the Aborigines before I visited Australia. But after speaking with locals (non-Aborigines) I quickly learned Aborigines were very much looked down upon and considered government leeches and alcoholics. I never saw any violent behavior from them but they definitely stood out from their looks. It's amazing the difference between the two peoples.
