I was sitting in the movie room and flipping it between FOX, CNN and MSNBC. Had the laptop open and refreshing this board and NYTimes.
Was a magical night (well morning really).

Woke up about 2:30 a.m. cst to poo, took my phone with me. Saw the headline, total elation. Cracked open the door and yelled to wife TRUMP WON! Never went back to sleep. I never felt such relief and happiness at the same time. Floated on a cloud all day

I got a lot out of the video "How to spot a DREAMER from your pickup" although the example of the Home Depot parking lot was too easy and seemed a bit contrived.

Sitting on the sofa drinking one a several glasses of scotch with a giant smile on my face. Sure, it was 2:00 AM and I had to be at work at 6:50 AM, but I didn't care.
It was like Christmas! It was better than ANY Super Bowl. It was one of the best things I've ever seen on TV!
I'll never forget it.

I watched the whole night, until Trump addressed the crowd on election night. When we were waiting for the results from Florida, one of my friends who was in New York with the Trump party posted on Facebook, "It's over. Trump is President. Announcement coming soon." I get goosebumps thinking about it. I've never been happier for the results of any election.

20:00 - Closed up the polls and started compiling ballots by cast, unopened, spoiled, etc. Started seeing early returns on phone, but not taking any of it to heart either way.
20:20 Witnessed the report-out from the ballot scanner. Knew the breakdown from 2012 (74% Obama, 24% Romney, State was +7 Obama). I figured if Trump broke 32%, it would be a good sign. He only hit about 30, but HRC only got 61%. Hmmmm...
20:45 Left the polling station to drive to local pizza joint a friend owns and where my kids work. Listened to NPR interview with Ed Rendell, former PA Gov. He was not optimistic. Hmmmm....
21:00 At pizza joint, sat at the bar with my laptop open and boys watching over shoulder. Ken (owner) couldn't put coverage on the TV's. Too many Dems in our area. We watched for about 45 minutes like a bunch of guys seeing porn for the first time, trying to avoid attention of the masses.
22:00 Back at home with TV's and laptops on full blast. Had already heard about FL, NC, OH, and VA, and not surprised. NH got my attention, then WI was called. Switched to NYT and their Trumpmeter. Watched that thing swing hard enough to give it whiplash.
Rest of the night switching between Wolf remote controlling John King on "Votehunt" and watching the live feed of the Clinton victory party. I was convinced we were going to see 2000 Part 2, especially when Podesta sauntered out.
Just a few minutes later, they threw in the towel (and who knows what else). Laid there in bed, literally just not believing what I had watched.

I had just arrived at my grandparents farm in Alabama after the passing of my grandfather the day before. At around 8 my grandmother said let's turn on the TV and see how the election is going (I was already glued to this board beforehand so I already knew what had been happening).
The tv was on for 5 minutes. It was nothing but doom and gloom for Mr. Trump so she said to turn it off she couldn't take it, along with the rest of my family. By that time I used my excuse of driving all day that I was going to head to my mother's house and get some rest.
Between 9:30 and 10:00 my mother arrived along with my sisters and said she knew exactly what I was doing , while I was sitting in the recliner glued to Fox.
Flipping back and forth between FNB, MSNBC, FNC, and CNN I started to get the feeling we were about to MAGA. I'll never forget hearing Chris Matthews saying "Jesus, he's gonna win", the fantastic melt from Van Jones along with the rest of the CNN panel while Jeffery Lord was on cloud nine.
When I saw Pizza Podesta go on stage instead of Hillary I knew it was over. I stayed up till at least 4:00 that morning smiling from ear to ear. Thinking this was one victory, how many more will we experience the next 4 years once he's inaugurated? Little did I know, much less any of us, that we would experience this winning before he has even gotten into office.

He looked like a complete nutjob, waving his arms and making all the Hillary kids think it wasn't over.. When Hillary didn't come out, I knew it was over.. Put a fork in her.. She's done. God, the relief I felt.

Laying down on the same couch that brought us championships in the '03 and '07 seasons.

Sitting on my couch salivating at the prospect (now reality) of melt across the country. And while I knew that the melt would be big...it was several magnitudes bigger than I could have imagined.

I'm in Germany so I was up literally all night watching. I was hopeful but I didn't think he would win. I was going to go to sleep but then Florida was called for Trump and I was not going back to sleep A dude in my unit voted for Hillary and I was all over his arse He's actually a cool dude though I promise.
