Such a lame question/post by me.

I read comment upon comment and wonder … are we all going to bitch and moan, or is there a legit movement in sight?

I’ve made it abundantly clear that my loyalties lie with TEXIT. But I also support any state that embraces said sovereignty over the US government.

How many of you believe your states are genuinely willing to tell the federal government to piss up a rope?

The Texit won’t happen, neither will a real civil war. There will be strife, maybe even some minor insurrections, and lots of rioting and general chaos as economic turmoil and food shortages lead to unrest, but the government will survive. An external conflict will unite the people against a common enemy enough to hold the country together long enough to get through the bad economic times and begin rebounding. These shared struggles will result in a more prosperous and peaceful nation as a new “era of good feelings” erupts thanks to American victory abroad and economic progress at home (likely caused, in part, by a smaller population sharing a larger pool of resources unlocked by technology).

People will complain, administrations will come and go, economies will bubble and burst, but America will keep going.

I disagree. I think there will be a reckoning once things get bad enough.

No one is going to sit back and watch those animals firebomb churches. Just wait until it’s a regular thing

I mostly agree, but believe there is an opportunity/chance for the people to reassert themselves and wrest a good chunk of power away from the federal government and back to the states. RvW was a bigger win in this effort than in the anti-abortion effort (because abortion will continue to be pretty easy to get everywhere). If we win WV -v- EPA, that would be huge. In any case, if you and me and the rest of the adults in this country are smart and dare to, we can reshape how this country is run.

10-15 years ago I would have generally agreed with your post…..not now. The American Marxists wing of the NWO Globalism movement have prepared and waited for this time in US history where they can make a play to consolidate their power across all 50 states…..it will probably take a physical response to stop them now, they taste blood and believe they can achieve victory.

Some. Yeah. I can see that. An assassination here, little skirmish there - but not a robust/protracted confrontation.

As much as the Left has clowned the Right the last few years, those wars have been cultural and political save for a few city blocks being razed. But it won't take long for those "bullies" to learn what it means to be legit confronted by the Right. At the end of the day, the Left is weak and cowardly.

Sadly I don't see much hope for the future in this country.

I expect not a full blown war within the states but guerilla warfare with the cities who are started by a growing number of armed leftist terrorist organizations.

We’re rollin’ downhill like a snowball headed for Hell with no kind of chance for The Flag or The Liberty Bell.

Nations are are modern phenomena. City states were the only comparison, but even they were run by clans/tribes for millennia.

You’re seeing fractures at the local level with communities wanting to leave their dysfunctional parent governments.

I think we are headed in that direction on a larger level but we aren’t there yet. I think the friction between globalization and independence will increase and the opposing sides will harden. I also think enormous government power will be brought to bear that will result in greater authoritarianism and abuse that will further fuel the fire of separatism.

The powerful role of corporatism will also be a factor. Small business will be pushed to the side of separatism.

A key watershed moment will be when a political leader who openly questions remaining in the US is elected governor.

With great irony at the start of the US Civil War Americans were pretty similar: very few owned slaves (less than 3% owned all the slaves), most were Evangelical Christians, most did not have strong view points on slavery one way or another. The predominant American dream was subsistence farming. And 2% of the homogeneous county died at each other’s hands.

Fast forward 160 years—this country is far from homogeneous—there exists such a divide between conservatives and progressives there is no compromise or middle ground. Our governing body of the nation only agrees on matters of self interest (elimination of Outsider Trump or Outsider Bernie, money launder in the name of Ukraine, etc.)

There exists such a divide of half the country—it may well be time for a divorce.
