His reasoning was that it was such a polarizing issue that maybe him stepping down would be a move toward decorum and unifying, which we desperately need.

Then let the left offer the olive branch first. They are the ones that broke it off the tree with their attack on Kavanaugh.

I get where he's coming from with that line of thought. I believe it'd end disastrously, though, because I have no confidence that the left wouldn't shite all over that olive branch and do the exact same thing the next time the opportunity arose.

That's probably both revelatory of my fundamental distrust for the modern left, and highlighting the fundamental impasse in the current discourse that may be beyond repair.

Yes, I watched it and agree with your assessment of his explanation. He really couldn't come up with a valid reasoning how Kavanaugh resigning would be a good thing and how it wouldn't embolden more future false allegations destroying people's careers.

I don't know, he may be more of a centrist, but in today's society thanks to the left's degeneracy, center somehow became right wing.

Maybe he's like a Jeff Flake type conservative....

I'll say this though, I don't like one bit that Bushes were so much behind Kavanaugh. They really groomed him, which isn't a great thing at all. Still better than any activists justices by the left, but he was not the best choice. Really shows that Bushes still have some pull with Trump making him nominate BK. It's a little concerning, but could be just politics.

I think he has some insight, though I don’t seem him as a “thought leader” or “world changer.” I read his book and listened to his lectures and he went on and on about things that seemed, to me, that they could have been left out—then again i minored in religion so I was versed enough to know what he was talking about before he spoke/stated it.

The Kav tweet I saw from him kinda irked me in the sense that it seemed to be going against what he “preached.”

He would be a centrist/slight left lean relative to American politics. I really respect his willingness to condemn postmodernist thought (SJW/Identity Politics). He’s also a good mentor for a lot of milenial and Gen Z youth who don’t have much of a traditional male role model. Helping them pull up their pants and act like men.

He’s a prog. He thinks tranny pronouns are stupid, oh how fricking based.

He was known to be left of center. His whole claim to fame was built on the “don’t tell me how to spea.” Of course, the Kav tweet showed he was nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

on balance, jp is a net positive.

probably wouldn't like him personally, but that doesn't mean anything.

He does take a long time to answer seemingly simple questions. I think it’s because he wants to be very specific with his answers so because people can’t set him up for gotcha comebacks later.

I like Peterson but that's pretty funny. He can be very direct and to the point one minute, then trip over himself for 5 minutes on a relatively easy question.

What I like about Jordan Peterson is that he isn't a right winger or a left winger. He just observes American politics but he notices the left is more mentally deranged than the right, yet based off his analysis the left has lumped him in as an extreme right wing nazi.

we owe them nothing. What we owe is to current Americans who are struggling. Which there is no shortage of. We owe people who come here Illegally nothing.

I've never heard of Jordan Peterson. However if he truly believes the above than I know all I need.
