Where does this board stand on Jordan Peterson?

I can’t tell if this guy would be revered or reviled on here...

He’s an equal opportunity kind of guy so I appreciate that about him. He leans right for sure, but doesn’t cower to call people out on our side. Non-NPC

Depends on who you talk to honestly. Some like him, some dislike him for many of the same reasons people dislike Ben Shapiro.

He is ok. I can only take him in small doses. Mostly because of his nasally voice.
But what he says is also common sense to me and somewhat repetitive.
But his message resonates with some people and it helps them, so I guess overall his voice being out there is a good thing.

Liked him until he said Kav should step down. Can’t respect someone with that opinion.

He has a unique insight on the state of Western society that is probably more informed than any other public figure. Peterson is probably the most powerful voice against radical liberal social philosophy in our time.

He would be a centrist/slight left lean relative to American politics.
I really respect his willingness to condemn postmodernist thought (SJW/Identity Politics).
He’s also a good mentor for a lot of milenial and Gen Z youth who don’t have much of a traditional male role model. Helping them pull up their pants and act like men.

He's incredibly smart. I don't have to agree with him 100% to think that.
His 12 Rules book actually changed my worldview on some issues. I think he's wrong on Kavanaugh, but his reasoning is better than screeching liberals screaming rapist.
I disagree with many conservatives on current immigration stances. I have stayed out of the posts out of respect, but that doesn't make me the enemy to the right to think these are human beings and we owe them a serious conversation about giving them opportunity here. Do not accept criminals, do not accept thugs, but certainly don't line up 50 caliber guns at them either.

Never saw that Fox. Did he say anything about it afterwards?
Posted on 10/28/18 at 9:44 pm to PenguinNinja
He basically is like what most dads were like in the past in that he tells people stuff their own dads should have told them. If you had a father in your life with common sense and he took an interest in teaching you life lessons there would be no need for a Jordan Peterson. For people that didn't have a good father, he probably does a lot of good.

His reasoning was that it was such a polarizing issue that maybe him stepping down would be a move toward decorum and unifying, which we desperately need.

He crawfished on it.
He has said a few things that I vehemently disagree with. That doesn’t negate all the other things that he has been correct on and has helped people with.
I also think his claims with his and his daughter’s all beef diet are bullshite.

Even though academic journals have backed it up? It's helped me tremendously with some issues. Nothing like his daughter, but regular stuff - Ive seen some benefit.

He's got some good perspectives, but as with every other living human being on this planet I don't agree with him 100%.
That said I do like him.

This is where I agree with Fox. Peterson is brilliant. He's smart enough to understand that, if Kavanaugh stepped down or withdrew, it would incentivize those on the left to repeat the same smears every time a conservative was up for election or nomination. And yet he still supported Kavanaugh's withdrawal.
