When I was fresh behind the ears, an older company man that was Director, called me out for saying that in a meeting. Said the exact same thing..."so everything else you said was not honest?" Yeah it was a fun lesson to learn in a group setting. But a good one to learn. Same can be said, when people use a lot of phrases like "let me be clear"
