Some of you are too dense to ever get it.

Trump was an interruption to a system YOU never had a real choice in. For a time, he actually pushed back, but he was, is and always will be Donald Trump.

There isn't a replacement. There isn't a "Trump with good political skills." Oh, they'll give you fools one, but it will be as real as Romney, McCain and the endless line of Bushes. So keep judging Trump like you're in a political science class. It doesn't matter. You'll keep playing the rigged game and wondering why the needle only ever pushes in one direction. Then one day you'll be old, bitter and maybe, JUST MAYBE, wide awake.

And I get the McCain statement in a different way. Many took it as-how dare he when he never served past a Military prep school. Or how dare he, just how dare he.

I took it in TrumpAutistic think. McCain was a showboat that his fellow Navy men have spoken about. His daddy the admiral protected his dumb arse. He was shot down because he was showboating.

But most especially the dishonorable trifling crap he did sending his aide across the pond to fry Trump. I don't care who he did that to. It was as slimy and criminally as corrupt as Obama.

Or his thumbs down to get rid of ObamaCare. He even pissed off Turtle.

McCain, Like Romney, Ryan, others are fake sleazeballs.

I still think the McCain Institute is sleazy.

McCain wasn't ever a conservative he was always a neolib democrat.

I've supported him from day one. I still continue to because of his overall policies. I don't have to agree with him on everything and I'd never expect to with anyone because that's unrealistic.

I'm very much in his camp until he proves to me that I should move on. What I don't like is that he keeps making unforced errors that are going to drain him of enough of his support that he truly is unelectable. The R's will get absolutely hammered by extension and we have dem majorities because he's done so much damage within the party and with independents. As a Cali resident this scares the hell out me because I've seen what happens up close and personal with unchecked dem governance. We absolutely do not want that at the federal level with how the dems have taken more and more extreme positions.

I like him but I don't worship at his altar. If he can control himself and become more professional, I'm good to go with him without reservations. But my God, he keeps trying to find ways to make me rethink things. A big driver of that is his going after would be allies for no reason whatsoever. He's dividing but it's a losing scenario in the end as there won't be any conquering. He has to stop with the stupid shite and it needed to happen weeks ago. If he takes a burn it all down because what difference does it make.. he'll be toxic and I'm out. We can't have that. For all of the shite everyone here piles on California.. you'll get a taste of it nationally and good luck with that.

How do you blame Trump for the DC Mayor and Nancy Pelosi both rejecting his offer to deploy troops to help with security?

I don’t blame Trump, dummy. I didn’t say anything about blame. I said the Jan 6 event was a bad move for him - the rally and whatnot that TRUMP did, not the Capitol junk. Trump BEFORE the Capitol had a rally and it looked terrible the way he did it and his message was not good for the country.

I 100% agree with him on the message but the way he presented it was terrible.

Nah, that was a wonderful comment. McCain would use his POW status as a crutch to deflect criticism; he wouldn't shut up about it. Trump's glib slam was well-earned.

No, it left an impression on specific people.

Nah. I’m a very selfish voter. I’m not shy about that. I don’t like him because he costs me an extra 3.8 percent a year.

Precisely what I said.

I believe it because of his vote in the repeal of Obamacare. 3.8 percent more in taxes every year. Awesome.

So really, you have a red arse because he represented his electorate faithfully.

You might not like it. But, you weren't his electorate.

When he called fallen military men suckers and losers. He's single handedly been more powerful for the democrats than anyone they could ever elect as President. He gave them all the power, and will continue to do so until he goes away.

Yeah, boy that really changed life...uh, how?

I'll take trade reform, pulling back industry into America (for a time), lowering energy costs and creating energy independence (for a time), reducing traffic at the border and pushing back on insane "asylum" laws, taking the fight economically to China (for a time), some level of tax reform (for a time), getting us out of the never ending middle eastern conflicts, getting us out of ludicrous climate treaties and pushing back on the remoras in NATO and the UN.

The above are things you will never see another US President do in your lifetime.

All that need repeating. Especially the bolded part! People can dislike him for his bravado and personality, but a truthful person will admit that he was FANTASTIC for this country.

The moment he even campaigned.

It was less about Trump, and more about the direction this country was headed. Trump was always going to end one of two ways: He'd actually fix everything, or he'd take it all down in only the way a reality show star with a nuclear button in a thoroughly debauched USA could. We asked for chaos, and now we want to act shocked that the kitchen's on fire.

And I'd vote for him again, just to spite everything.

He was shite on the Second Amendment, his COVID response was garbage, and he was a loser on picking most of his staff.

Sorry, but "pissing off the libs" isn't high on my list of priorities for someone to lead this country.

Do we even know if that's what he actually said? I always suspected he was just marveling at the manipulative powers of warmongers.

Nailed it. The other thing, never mentioned here, is the Keating 5. Then there was this:
