Yeah. That’s what drives me bonkers about how he’s been the last month or two. I jut want him to knock off the attacks that will drive voters away. The guy kills it on policy. Stay positive and like it or not he’s going to need the establishment republicans to vote for him. Stop giving them reason to walk away out of spite. The same is true for the Trump-or-nobody voters if someone else wins the nomination. We need to circle the wagons heading into 2024 or we lose big.

Trump called up Mexico and told them their goods (automobiles) would be taxed bigly and suddenly Mexico put THEIR troops on the border to stop the hell from coming in.

I think he’s getting jealous of Elon at this point.
Honestly, I don’t hate Trump or think he isn’t exactly what we need but the truth is that he cannot win. So it doesn’t matter what I think, we need someone that can beat down the progressives in charge.

For me it was January 6th...
Not because I give a shite about January 6th but because it was a stupendous lapse of judgment and massive unforced error that would invite enormous blowback and political consequences for him that would make him unelectable.
Since he has left office it has been one thing after another with him and the recent mid-terms has just reinforced the fact that he cannot win a second term as POTUS. I like Trump but his schtick has just worn thin with me as I want serious solutions to the existential threat that is the modern Democrat Party. I really don't give a shite anymore about what he did in 2016-2019 because it's a whole different ballgame now and I don't see Trump rising to the occasion. What I see is an angry bitter guy that is more interested in in re-litigating his past failures and lashing out at others on our side (i.e. DeSantis). He is seemingly becoming more unhinged and that is dangerous and he no longer has the vision,temperament or judgement for the job.

China’s on a very realistic path to kicking us aside as the world’s top dog, so I’d maybe give those priorities a second look as far as where to rank Trump’s “schtick” in the larger picture. In fact, should Trump either (a) come up short in a competitive Repub primary scenario, or (b) come up short in the general election scenario…..look for the world’s bad actors (China, Iran et al) to open up long awaited plans and ambitions to strike their regional foes (Iran -> Israel; China -> Taiwan; NOKO -> SOKO).
And they’ll sweep up their spoils of war, because in that moment they will know that the last possible American POTUS of any realistic threat to them is in the rear view mirror and it’s now open season. They truly “fear” not a single other potential U.S. President.
I’d be more worried about that than “Trump’s schtick.”
