There's been talk for years that climate change is the greatest existential threat to human civilization, will cause a global catastrophe, and must be stopped by any means necessary. So, what's exactly the worst that can happen if the temperature goes up 1 degree or the sea levels rise by 1 foot? I understand if sea levels rise, that will make some places inhabitable, but is it really worth spending trillions upon trillions to prevent??

Problems like climate change should be approached with a COST/BENEFIT analysis only! Stop with these emotional, fear-mongering elevator pitches.

When they figured out that global cooling is on the horizon so they need to ride this for as much taxation as possible before that happens.

I've seen global warming models in the past that showed the Southeast USA as a tropical rainforest.

Sounds awesome IMO. I've always wanted to grow coca...err I mean coffee

When the carbon tax didn't become a reality in the U.S.

Although most of the oil companies have quietly signed on to the nonsense, I guess to keep peace.

It is crazy to me how cowed Americans are now. We used to be literal rebels.

There are fossils of ferns above the Arctic Circle. These cycles are independent of human activity.

First, they are not saying it will only go up 1 degree. In fact, it has already gone up 1 degree F. Thirty years ago they were saying that by 2025, or 2050 at the latest, the average temp if we did not do anything drastic, would rise (this is from memory) 3.5 to 6.5 deg F). We have risen 1.1 deg F, so they were full of shite - didn’t even achieve half of their minimum amount in their minimum time frame. Clowns!

They’ve been studying the covid model of population control. They are now applying that model to the generations-old attempts at control, including climate change. I think they’re trying to strike while the iron’s hot.

It’s almost like climate is cyclical and we have zero impact.

I can't recommend this book enough. I've read it.

If you haven't then your opinion on climate change is not well informed.

Notice that the temperature rise precedes the rise in co2. They have it backwards and have been lying out their arse
