I agree. To "decimate" means to reduce by a 10th. The party of cultural marxism has destroyed much much more than that.

When it became obvious it equates to spinelessness, rather than thoughtfulness

when the scumbag left took over, it became "either them or us". Choose. the middle is always evil, cause you're not helping the righteous, which means that you're helping the scumbags.

Like Trump.

moderate

I can't think of any national moderates, but I am pretty bad at keeping up with political celebrity.

In my state, I like Horace Clemmons, but I doubt he'll ever be elected, because he's not an either/or.

Which party is that?

Can you outline the much more that has been destroyed?

I believe President Trump and Bill Clinton are both pretty moderate presidents.

ETA: Bill Clinton out of necessity maybe.

I assume this is directed at liberals and Democrats since moderation is part of conservative philosophy, thinking and lifestyle, hence the root word "conserve"

Are you serious ?

Just take a look at this board. Anyone who is moderate or doesn't follow along with the echo chamber gets labeled a liberal by multiple posters who can't formulate an actual argument vs a post.

Moderates are mostly liberals ashamed to admit they are liberal or trying to pass their views as mainstream. For example A Want is a self proclaimed moderate on here.

Independents are mostly conservatives disgusted with the GOP

Decimation? Yes, really. You should drift out of your all-white bubble inside your gated community every once in awhile.

In a Culture War people draw lines in the sand. Being a self-proclaimed moderate used to mean that you saw merit in competing arguments and were ideologically non-committed. That could mean you were a wishy-washy, low-information voter or it could mean you were sincerely conflicted. Now that the camps are so well-defined and honest debate is long-dead, it's more a matter of declaring which side you are on. That's just reality. Being an American is now an entirely different proposition than it used to be, now that we have buried Truth and are cannibalizing our culture with media propaganda

You are aways on point regarding politics.

I'm cool with marriage equality and women's choice, but frick siding with the left on any other issue.

Gays and abortions won't turn us into Venezuela, but the rest of their bullshite can.

No one truly will mirror Trump, probably because it is impossible. But, in his day Bill Clinton was very moderate. Tough on crime, fiscally pretty conservative, but socially liberal.

You're playing dumb.

Traditional values or "borders, language, culture"..patriotism, religion, respect for the concept of law and order..respect for science over "scientism" to name a few.

In your opinion, are you implying that these principles have not been..at least decimated?

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I wasn't calling Trump a moderate I was replying to this comment which I quoted at the top of my previous post.

Trump is the most socially liberal President we've seen. Outside of abortion, which we know we had to be against, he's left of center or agnostic on everything.

He speaks truth. I consider myself liberal on social matters and conservative on fiscal issues. Balances to moderate. I do not belong to a political party. No party.

Both sides have serious problems and are full of assholes. Much like this board.

I think the majority of people who consider themselves moderates are pretty much libertarians, socially liberal, economically conservative. People are everywhere on the social spectrum and sometimes the Dems get those in the middle because they brand us conservatives as closed-minded so effectively, but I believe the majority of Americans are economically conservative.
