so 50+ people dying at 81 instead of 82 or 83 is going to cost us an ungodly amount of money

Don't go there. Being prejudiced/judgmental against those you are thinking they are close to death already is not the way most of us were raised. You know that!n We have to deal with the elderly as much as we have to deal with anyone. To do otherwise is an anathema to our society.

Does nobody here have parents or grandparents over 70? Is everybody so self centered that they don't give a shite about the rest of their family as long as they are young enough to be safe? Damn

Shut the frick up. Destroying the economy isn’t worth this fear-mongering bullshite. Yes, we should care for old people but creating mass hysteria by shutting down the entire country isn’t the way to do it.

Dumbass.

One thing about Singapore is they were posting all details but name on the deaths..

Age, sex, health conditions. All data was poured out letting people know.

Liberals: rationing of medicine is ok in a universal healthcare scenario. Sometimes, quality of life in the elderly should be what we focus on instead of extension (that’s putting it mildly, I’ve seen a lot worse from liberals on this site).

Also liberals: Shut the god damn country down because the elderly are dying!

How does the (non)treatment of elderly in Italy and other socialized medicine countries jibe with the notion that health care is a basic human right?

Can we conclude socialists are for supply and demand dictating whose basic human rights are respected?
