all tony blinken had to say before the war started was "we respect russia's security concerns and we will never allow ukraine in NATO." that alone would have done it.

I’m ok with the first part about respecting Russia’s security concerns, but you have to also stand by Ukraines security concerns. Say we’ll allow Ukraine to do whatever they deem necessary in regards to alliances and influence. It’s not as simple of an issue as you and I are making it out to be though. Lots of paranoia, distrust, lying, decades of conflict between the US and Russia, and so much more.

And enter into a security agreement with the remaining Ukraine whereby we provide a security arrangement with them if the Ruskies ever move an inch further.
Someone missed the Trouble with Tribbles reference.

Have you paid any attention to Russian culture over a few hundred years?

Like what was decided in 1991.

Except we and the Europeans were expected to enforce this, and we did d1ck.

And I hope there's a revolution at home that topples him.

You don't understand Russian culture.

We keep pissing directly into their face, and acting surprised when they read our intentions as hostile. We. Keep. Proving. Their. Theories. Right.

It started in WWI.

We got them addicted to our largess and now they are junkies.

We would all be better off if the Kaiser had won.

Not sure if it’s “sensible” but Ukraine give up their coastline, connecting Russia to Crimea.

The first step is getting competent diplomats involved in a negotiation to end the conflict, the illegitimate regime doesn’t have any. If this shite show is still raging in 2024 and the nukes haven’t been launched there’s a good chance if Trump wins this thing is over in 3-6 months.

You don't think Poland isn't going to raise the alarm with Belarus and occupied Ukraine on their border? The question becomes how much Putin cares about article 5

That map being turned East/West while the image of Texas remains North/South bothers me more than it should.
