Latoya the Destroya. Yep, like most democrat run cities, NOLA does tend to attract the skank.
Last time I was in that virus infested petri dish excuse for a city, I saw a skinny scantily clad methhead skank hanging out (and beckoning) the front door of a dingy looking lounge. Yikes!
Anybody know if they ever caught that sniper taking pot shots at people passing through on 1-10? Does anybody even care?

Both parties have mechanisms for taking care of loyalists when they are "unassigned" to elected jobs. Usually that means a commensurate state or federal position with terrific benefits and not a lot of work required (or they foist all that work onto subordinates), a law firm in Washington if they have a JD, a think-tank or lobbying firm in a state capital or DC...
You get the idea but these people all have a very generous salary, expense account, and healthcare and get plenty of media opportunities. Then a few years later they run for a bigger election or get a cabinet position.
Both sides do it and it's the embodiment of the "its one big club and you're not in it" joke.
