LA Tech decided they weren't going to let the terrorists win and forced us to go to class for the rest of the day as scheduled despite the fact that every other school was cancelling. Pissed me off.

If our relationship cannot be exclusive then I cannot be involved. Just the way I am. Hopefully you understand.

I was eating supper in my apartment in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Almaty is 11 time zones ahead of Baton Rouge.

Would you please stop being you in this thread? I would prefer to keep it as simply people relating their experiences on 9/11. Go be you somewhere else.

I’m asking you nicely.

I was flying to St. Paul for a meeting. Landed at 8 something at it was happening. Luckily rented a car, and was able to start drive back to DC once it was clear that flights weren’t going to happen. Meeting was canceled.

Had just returned from a deployment to the Middle East the week before. Was cutting my grass and a neighbor came over and told me.

I was a senior at LSU. I lived in an apartment walking distance from campus. I was walking out of CEBA and I ran into a friend of mine, she told me an airplane hit the World Trade Center. I didn't think too much of it, and continued walking to my apartment. By the time I got to my apartment, I turned on the TV and the 2nd plane had already hit. I was stunned, thinking who the hell would do this.

One of my professors was so upset about what happened. He told us that we don't understand the magnitude of what happened.

I had taught a high school law class early that morning as a favor for the teacher, who was on vacation. I had a trial at 9:00 and when I got to the courthouse my client told me about it. Apparently not long after I left the school the administration notified the students. Before my trial started I got a call from my son, who was staying home sick from school and was watching it. Incidentally, it was his birthday.

I was literally taking a shite before going to my first class. One of my roommates was watching the news and came beating on the door like the cops were raiding the place. After I did my business I came out and started watching it right after the 2nd plane hit. One shite and then the world changed forever.

I was miles from civilization in the Everglades. Land surveyor, setting a mitigation line for a group of environmentalists. Had no clue what happened until we got back into FM radio range at the end of the day.

We were probably some of the last people in America to hear about it.

I was a senior in high school taking a government and economics test. I had to take it in the library due to space and there were only a few students in there. I remember watching the 2nd tower fall and yelling out at the screen. All day in every class we watched the news. My history teacher said it was bin laden no doubt. That was the first time I heard his name or taliban/al queda.

I had actually just landed on my flight into Fort Lauderdale and walked into one of my company's stores and was in front of the TVs when the first plane hit. The first thing I did was call and get a car rental booked as I figured no way would I get back home soon if not. Went and got the car right away and drove back home to St Petersburg later that evening.

Southwest Missouri St. We played SEMO in the Cape on Sept 15, 2001. We played since we drove there and we felt it was right to show we can move on. As I said before it was a feeling of sadness, anger, and awe that God chose us to help heal some. Even though I don’t know why.

I left my girlfriend's house and turned on the radio in my truck and heard news of a plane hitting the first tower. No one knew what was going on.

I got home and turned on the news and a couple minutes later I watched the second plane strike WTC 2, and then it was obvious. I didn't go to class that day and just watched the news.

I took several terrorism-related classes in college and the WTC had always been a big target for Middle East terrorists (they had already tried it once). We were being taught about OBL in 1997 in those classes. 9/11 was shocking, but it wasn't surprising.

Suffering sever morning sickness. My exhusband was spending mornings at home to help with our other kids.
He turned on Fox and Friends as the second plane hit. I was holding my head over the toilet and heard him say “Ho...lee... shite!”. Then he came and told me I had to come see what just happened.

I couldn’t believe it.
