Working....I just happened to bring up a news site and saw it just after the 2nd plane hit.

I was in my Dorm room at college and was watching TV when they cut in after the first plane hit.
I was watching TV as the second hit the other tower. Sat there in stunned belief. We got emails from school saying classes for the rest of the day were cancelled.
Crazy day

I was 13 so I was in school on Keesler AFB, Mississippi. Whole installation went on lockdown.
Made up my mind that day I'd follow in my parents' footsteps and serve in the military.

I had been in a nasty accident and was hospitalized for almost two weeks. I had been home (confined to a wheelchair) for a couple of days when the planes hit.
Everyone knew I was home recovering, so I stayed glued to the TV and became a sort of de facto clearinghouse for information amongst my friends. I probably sent or received more than 200 calls that day.
I remember that there was originally a lot of confision about identifying the first plane. I thought it must have actually been a smaller private plane and that the fire suppression systems would save the bilding and limit the damage to a few floors, because they carry so little fuel.
Then we actually SAW the second airliner hit the other building.

Back to our game that following Saturday. We were one of the only Division 1 teams to play that day.

Same thing with me. 7th grade home room I was late that morning. I knew of the first plane before I got to class. Didn't know of the second until I seen it once I got to class.

4 block from Sears tower, 20 floors up, listening to the radio and wondering if that building was next.

Did you see @real sifting through the rubble, looking for survivors? That was something!
He was fired up today when supporters greeted him on the way to the memorial service.
I guess that came after his somber tweet of remembrance, but I could be wrong.
I'm pretty sure that tweet came after his tweets quoting his usual Fox News hacks concerning his ongoing persecution. Executive Time!

Was in HS. Asked a girl to homecoming before classes started that day and it turned out that she was already taken. So I was a little bummed. First class was French that day, and not long into the class the vice principal got on the loudspeaker and announced that "the world trade center had been bombed." I wasn't very worldly at the time and didn't really know what exactly the world trade center was. I thought it was some small building, so I didn't really realize the gravity of the situation until later. I think we watched the news in my next class, which was some form of social studies. That's when I realized how serious this all was. Two of the tallest buildings in the country had passenger planes flown into them, and the Pentagon. It just didn't seem real. The whole school had a prayer session for an hour later that day. I remember kneeling on the hard concrete floor and my knees hurting, but I didn't care. I remember watching the news all evening after school and just being kind of dumbfounded.

I would not expect anything less from you. It is amazing how much he occupies your every waking thought. It is almost like you are...
