What useless things are you cutting back during America’s decline?

I’m just getting started.
Got rid of Serious XM. I hardly drive anymore because I work at home. Bought a car 2.5 years ago, which should last longer than me. Less than 4000 miles in 2.5 years and half of that was visiting my parents.
Eliminated a few streaming services I don’t need. Hbomax is for free with AT&T. Netflix will be next. Will keep prime because I use it with many other things. Especially audible, which I get free credits for and all the shipping. Any other service is gone. Thinking about dropping YTTV since I haven’t watch in years (perhaps there is a better option or a cheat code) , except for here or there. Question, do you have to have tv service to watch certain apps? I know that’s the case with say Fox app channels, not sure about things like Pluto.
Refinanced my car insurance. Been 5 years since accident, and again, I don’t drive anywhere. I should get a much bigger discount simply because I don’t drive.
Not a huge consumer. Don’t waste money on clothes or expensive items, which I have plenty of dap gear because I worked in corp finance.
Just bought a Berkey Filter, which I can’t recommend enough. Amazingly clean water that uses gravity. If you buy bottled water, it pays for itself in months and lasts like 10 years.
Cut energy costs because I live in the NE. Quite cool at night. Altered my crap food intake.
I’m looking at 300-400 in savings and I know I can do more. Starting to get used to this frugal thing
What are you guys doing to cut back? Would love more ideas

Yeah, entertainment goes first. Which is why it's amazing how stupid these companies are knowing they provide a WANT and not a NEED.
Truth is we live pretty frugally already so there's not a ton to cut at this point that we already did not. In my case, I've started to make more decisions based on who I want t spend my money with, or better put who I refuse to give money. I'll shop locally even if it means a little higher cost or more effort on my part than continuing to fund huge corporations that go out of their way to tell me they hate people that think like me.

less eating out, less craft beer, less bourbon... silver lining is the recession will probably have a positive affect on my waistline

I was a cheap bastard before all of this, so not much has changed.

Just cancelled all my streaming services.

I cut all live TV. If I want to watch Braves games, I have found a reliable pirate streaming site where I can find them.

Golf. It's not the green fees it's the damn distances I have to drive at these gas prices. It's usually 80 miles round trip.
I used to play 70 rounds a year. I'm now on a schedule to finish the year at 40. That makes me much more particular about weather. It's gotta be perfect or I'm skipping that day.

We've started to cut junk food, soda and desserts. It was all extra fatty spending anyway.
Netflix is likely gone shortly. We'll probably keep it on through the summer with the kids home more.
Driving less. Not going out for small things we can live without. No Movies, Games or concerts.
Cut way back on dining out. Pizza night once a month still and probably some meals on the go when in a time crunch.
I'm in the camp of we're feeling inflation, but making some smaller cuts to mitigate it. I'm not putting as much away in retirement per month so this is more likely to hit me in the 5-10 years mark (assuming thigns don't go way downhill)

Eating out.
Increased prices and 95% of the time service is crappy. Just isn’t worth it. My family of 5 cost 75.00 to a hundred dollars at your average chain restaurant. That can easily be 450-600 dollars a month on shitty food and worse service.

I'm ramping up my consumption of the useless junk that brings me joy. Might as well enjoy it before everything goes to complete shite.

Quit travel sports. Gone from eating out / take out 7-10x’s a week to once or twice a week. Cancelled about $100/month of aps my daughters had put on Apple. No more gun purchases, ammo only
Edit: I did most of the above due to a switch to private school x2 , not as much inflation

Went to visit my mom for this Memorial day weekend. We ate at a local Mexican place for dinner one night. Ran me $120 + tip for 7 people (no alcohol either). The food wasn't great and the experience was shitty. I've never been more upset with a meal out than I was that night.
