A shutdown would only effect the non-essential parts so not a big deal. Republicans need only cite Rule of Law.... They are here illegally. They should be forced to go back and get in the back of the line of those trying to enter the USA legally.

Simplest and most reasonable solution is to give them pseudo amnesty. By that is they are given a special status equivsent to a green card holder with one major exception. They are never allowed to apply for or gain citizenship through any form even marriage.
This way they can’t be used as a voting block, can still remain and be productive members of society.
Then m, the Dems should also agree to massive funding for border protection and immigration reform, along with major cuts on other issues.
