My suggestion would be for the president to submit a budget that eliminate every bit of fraud and waste that has been found which can be entered into a continuing resolution By Congress
This biggest obstacle to this proposal are not the representatives with a "D" behind their names. It the representatives with an "R" behind their names.

Is that deflating the economy?
Deflating/inflating the economy and deflating/inflating the currency are two different but connected economic metrics.

Honestly I’m be frank I don’t care about the debt.
As long as our military can wax anyone then debt doesn’t matter.
Return it to the tax payers and use ukraines minerals to pay off debt if you want that

Can't just give it back, although that's is what's right.
If you introduce that much money back to tax payers, you'll just create more inflation.
Use it to build the wall along mexico and Canada's borders.

I think you wait to get the political capital from the public for the savings before deciding what to do with it.
If you get enough trust from the voter when you show them how much you cut out of the bloat, you have a lot more leverage to say "trust me, we need to use it for XYZ"

It’s money not spent- i.e. debt not created

Without looking, how much of our debt is held by foreign entities?

Yep! Pay down the National debt.
Pretty tough to do when we're running deficits

So we shouldn’t try to save money and make payments on the debt?

Give the real honest (like me) SS retirees a raise. I paid into SS for 46 years.

There is nothing there to "spend". We are just refilling the hole.

Anything other than putting it toward the national debt would be stupid. Unfortunately those dumbasses in DC will find a way to funnel it into their off shore bank accounts
