Deflating/inflating the economy and deflating/inflating the currency are two different but connected economic metrics.
Too many dollars chasing too few goods.
But, is that true if there are good investment opportunities for those dollars? I am not speaking in terms of money supply, but asset utilization, or perhaps it should be called capital utilization.
For instance, the gold mentioned about is worth $650 billion or so in today's market, but according to our laws, we have to value it at $40 an ounce. What could happen if we find a way to use this wealth?

Eliminate federal tax (IE, the IRS)
Flat tax would be amazing. No taxes on income only taxed when you spend. Would encourage saving and we could almost eliminate the irs entirely. Imagine the savings with a smaller IRS

Just eliminate it from the budget. If they find enough to have a surplus, reduce taxes.
If they get the waste and fraud out of all sectors, including the sacred cows, they may have a surplus.

Don’t forget, 10% to the big guy.

Reduce my fricking taxes would be great. Also, if I could not be taxed on money I was already taxed on I would be less (just a little) inclined to punch a politician.
