Biden had high gas prices cause his policies were terrible. We don’t expect Trump to also have terrible policies that led to high gas prices.

Threatening more tariffs might help.

They haven't started on the midterms yet. Trump has not spent a single penny of his $300 million war chest.

They could have infinite money and it isn’t stopping what’s coming

Shocked no one on this board has not suggested increasing tariffs to, say, 100%.

I think they’ve just written the midterms off at this point

It has been one dumb arse thing by him after another. Trump screwed America by outsourcing foreign policy and ignoring what is happening here.

MAGA will disagree and say no but the general public believes this.

Yep, Biden had much higher gas prices and people are stupid.

People are stupid, and Biden was not a good President thats for sure. There aren't and good options left for trump to improve the economy quickley.

He could resign.

That would frick up 10 straight years of liberal tears with JD Vance as prez.

If Trump were to resign, he needs to wait until January 21 or 22 of January of 2027.

He’s kept all his promises……. he’s kept us out of war (it’s just a military operation) and he released all the Epstein documents and only redacted what had to stay classified (which happened to be 95% of it). We’ll do great in the midterms!

A serious answer:

(1) Have a thoughtful approach to tariffs;

(2) Increase confidence in U.S. Treasuries by:
(a) proposing a serious path to deficit reduction. It doesn't have to be all at once, but there need to be signs that it is being addressed seriously;
(b) immediately ending the war in Iran, and providing an accurate
assessment of it, so that people begin to trust his judgment;
(c) re-committing to no additional wars of choice;
(d) stopping the antagonization of allies needlessly;

(3) Shore up confidence in the predictability of the U.S. system by:
(a) ending his own corruption;
(b) taking measures to end Congressional corruption;
(c) acting in compliance with the law prospectively;
(d) following court orders;
(e) re-starting white-collar crime enforcement;
(f) re-starting foreign agent enforcement;
(g) hiring credible cabinet secretaries, such that people can trust what they say, and not immediately believe they're just fluffing Trump;
(h) stopping the torrent of lies and speaking accurately, such that when he needs to lead people, they will believe him (more).
(i) stopping the use the justice system to attack political enemies on bogus charges
(j) stopping the crazy.

Most of that is *theoretically* within his power to do.
