Yep. And yet they call out other Reps for being RINOS...

Refreshing topic. Thanks.

I'd say more laws equals less freedom. Every step away from freedom is a step toward servitude. Freedom isn't a solution, though. It's a condition for enabling the most just solutions.

You can do nothing, they have stood in shite so long they no longer can smell it.

You can ask them to give specific examples of why they despise conservatives, have some easy facts ready to talk about tax cuts, health care policy, and environment and you will be able to cover about 90 percent of their issues.

1) No more wars/foreign intervention. We're not sending trillions of dollars and the lives of 20-year-olds to die on sand in the Middle East. War is obscenely costly. Spend the resources on complete energy and manufacturing independence. Reliance on foreign oil puts us in a spot of weakness.

We are at a level of energy independence thanks to Trump. Agree on the foreign wars. Get out of them. The Deep military state wants perpetual intervention and war.

quote:

2) Investment in renewable energy. Following up on the previous. It's more expensive than fossil fuels, but less expensive than war and we can't use fossil fuels forever. They'll run out.

I don't know how old you are, but this was said back in the 70's. We are running out of oil! We have more today (discovered) than back in the 70's. Throw in natural gas and fracking to get to both, and you have energy independence. It ain't like breathing Bejeng air either. Develop renewables but not at the cost of shutting off fossil fuel production.

quote:

3) Subsidies for American manufacturing. While energy independence helps us with Middle East geopolitics, we are still heavily dependent on China. We need to move away from that and support manufacturing in the United States.

Agreed. Thanks Trump. It will be interesting to see what Biden does with the tariffs.

quote:

4) An increased minimum wage. Wages have not risen in proportion to cost of living over the past 30 years. Workers on minimum wage will get the money; they get it from government programs paid for by taxpayers. This essentially serves as a corporate subsidy. Taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the bill because companies won't their employees a livable wage.

No no no no no. Let the market decide the wages. The last thing we need is Leftists creating and monkeying around with mandated wages. The minimum wage was never intended to live as a career.

quote:

5) End of self-employment tax. A common argument against an increased minimum wage is that it hurts small businesses. Removing the self-employment tax will help compensate.

Agreed.Keep the corporate tax rate low also.

quote:

6) Medicare for all. It's easy to defend private insurance by saying "I don't want to pay for other people's healthcare", but you're paying for it anyway. Insurance produces nothing, yet they take their cut. The current model requires insurance companies to pay out a certain percent of revenue (80% iirc). If I'm the CEO and I want to make a extra million, my only option is to send out an extra 4 million while I raise premiums by a total of 5 million. The current system is set up to have insane healthcare costs, useless tests, and ridiculous premiums/deductibles.

NO! The last thing we should do. Go the other way and offer competitive markets. Make doctors post their real costs for procedures. Do not require people carry coverage they neither need or will use.
More choices over one choice is always better.

quote:

7) Criminal justice reform. Prison labor should be required. The inmate would be allowed to keep a certain amount which would be placed in an account given to them upon release. Many inmates, once in the prison system, get caught in a cycle where they don't have options upon release and go right back to crime. Most are repeat offenders. Work is good and will help to give an inmate a head start upon parole.

I think Trump was on the right path wrt reform. The problem is Leftists throw in no-bail stuff, defund the police, all poison pills. AA and poor urban folks want what we all want. Safety and law and order. I'm not up to speed on prison reform.

quote:

8) No more wokeness Critical race theory, white privelege, systemic racism, internalized sexism, etc. It's past time to ditch all of this garbage. It started in the early 2010s when people were getting too fed up with Wall Street and the billionaires, so they had to find a way to get us fighting with each other so they could run off with all the fricking money. Moreover, these populist ideas would help minorities as well, because many are overrepresented in minimum wage positions and in the prison system. So, these are actual solutions to "social justice" that don't involve everyone being at each other's throats all the time.

Agree!

quote:

9) Nationalize the Federal Reserve The debt is an impossible problem, because the creation of money is the creation of debt. Americans shouldn't pay interest to use the economy. End central banking.

We must get return to a better fiscal policy.

quote:

10) Non-profit payment processors Credit card companies and payment processors such as PayPal get a percentage of each transaction. Set up a payment processor that is free and works for the people first.

So you want a company to work for free? I don't. Have companies compete against one another. You will see advantages to the consumer. There are standards in place now these CCP's must follow.

quote:

You can easily see that the implementation of these ideas would mean huge trouble for the global elites.

I hope so. Screw them. You can see why they want Trump gone.

If you're a person who's still capable of free and rational thought then the past 10-15 years should've been plenty of reason to shun the Dim Marxist party. When a party has built it's main political platform on identity politics based in racism you should not only shun them you should mock them as the hypocrites they are......these leftists loons appeared to have elected the most racist president since Johnson.

The government will never be able to improve your life. Therefore, less government is always a better solution.

This hypothetical is DOA, but just to indulge, I think I'd ask them if they trusted me to run their finances, healthcare, and education of their children.

Do you like money? Do you like to keep as much of your money as possible? Here’s my card, you can give me if you don’t want your life to suck.

"How do you feel about personal accountability, enjoying the fruits of your labor, equal opportunity for all and making responsible decisions today to be best prepared for whatever tomorrow brings? You sound like a conservative!"

Oh, you just want to subsist on whatever the government can bribe your next vote with? You have no real interest in taking pride in your work, and your inherent victim-hood renders you powerless to affect change in your life? Then keep voting Democrat.
