I'd say more laws equals less freedom. Every step away from freedom is a step toward servitude. Freedom isn't a solution, though. It's a condition for enabling the most just solutions.

I don't know how old you are, but this was said back in the 70's. We are running out of oil! We have more today (discovered) than back in the 70's. Throw in natural gas and fracking to get to both, and you have energy independence. It ain't like breathing Bejeng air either. Develop renewables but not at the cost of shutting off fossil fuel production.

I think Trump was on the right path wrt reform. The problem is Leftists throw in no-bail stuff, defund the police, all poison pills. AA and poor urban folks want what we all want. Safety and law and order. I'm not up to speed on prison reform.
