Since you need help understanding, let me try assuming the syphillas hasn’t worked itself fully into your brain. Christians voted for trump because they correctly ascertained people like you hate them, hate all their beliefs, hate all their ways of life, hate their religion, hate their hometowns, and would gladly have them all killed by foreign invaders and opioids. If you want to know how much Christians will put up with from a leader that fights for them, then go read about Constantine.
Beyond that, it also impresses me how bold leftists are to even trot out this stupid argument. They have toiled ceaselessly to infect tv, movies, and society at large with sex, vulgar language, adultery, and pussy hats all while calling us prudes in the process. Then when their ideology succeeds in normalizing such things, they really have the boldness to pretend to wonder how a 3x divorced tv star got elected president. Further, this same “sex how you want it, it’s you're right” crowd are going to lecture us on sexual morality and what proper Christianity is now?
Nobody is buying it.

Nobody is going to apologize for holding the president of the greatest country in the world to a higher moral standard than the average US citizen. I did it with Clinton, I'm doing it with Trump and I'll continue to do so in the future.
You should be more concerned with why conservatives--the party that boasts of family values and superior morals--seem to be perfectly happy abandoning these claims (bullshite as they were) in support of Trump and decidedly not holding the president to a higher standard.
I don't care much (if at all) that Trump the businessman cheated on his wife, that's always seemed to me to be a highly probable event. I do care that Trump the candidate and now president has a history of this behavior despite criticizing the loyalty of others and has repeatedly lied about it as our president.

Your argument would work except that it isn't us claiming moral superiority, it's hypocritical Evangelicals claiming their religion has a monopoly on morality and anyone that doesn't believe what they believe is not just wrong, but will pay an eternal price of torment for being wrong.

The problem was Clinton lied in court trying to deny someone their day in court....nobody upset with the Clinton issue really cared about the sex but this is all you paint it as and it just isn't true. The only role the sex played with Clinton was that it was material to his perjury.
