ESG is corporations attempting to bypass congress to implement discriminatory business practices that can't get passed through Congress. DeSantis and Florida has passed laws outright banning ESG. What is Trump's plan regarding ESG?

My plan is to get rid of all discrimination laws, including repeal of the Civil Rights Act.

If a company wants to have ESG, good for them.

If a restaurant wants to not serve blacks, good for them.

If a restaurant wants to not serve whites, good for them.

Let the market dictate. Right now we have government approved discrimination and racism. I say let it all be legal.

Does Trump not have any policy or plan to combat ESG?

Actual action, not just talking:

quote:

Gov. Ron DeSantis, appearing in Jacksonville, signed a law Tuesday that he says will remove environmental, social and governance considerations from investment decisions and protect consumers’ ability to access financial services.

The governor had made the bill a priority in the current legislative session. He signed it at the Jaxport Cruise Terminal with House Speaker Paul Renner, R-Palm Coast, and state Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.

ESG is being implemented by corporations at the behest of the deep state. They don’t look at customers as their real customers. The customer is the government because they have the power to shut you down if you’re not towing the line

Pretty sure when all this ESG shite was getting bigger when Trump was in office he took steps to stop or limit it but after fake biden took office he reversed all that.

Trump's policy is to get Trump elected and Jared Kushner harvesting more foreign dollars. Everything else is to get Trump elected.

Who cares? He's being elected to fix the corrupt, politicized doj and fbi. The country and the world sees the corruption and the fraud of a failed government of, by and for the uni-party..

This was, like, the 3d result of a google search:

Trump condemns ESG investing

This one was a little further down but still on the first page:

Trump rules made ESG investing harder

BTW I am not a Trump-or-die guy, and I think nominating Trump is actually a trap, but man the DeSantis posters on this board suck.

Did DOJ become corrupt and politicized in just the last 3 years?

I just got off the phone with him, he said we have to throw all the LGBTQIA+ people into a furnace first, then start on the media......He says ESG will disappear faster than a vapor in the Mohave once the screaming starts.

I think he's right.

Definitely not, Super Dave. That’s always a very salient point in this area of discussion. In reality that situation has probably been in the making at various levels, bits and pieces, arming and reinforcing itself for possibly even decades. Not an all at once thing. And that’s what makes it such a tough onion to peel back the layers. It wasn’t corrupted and politicized in the last three years, resulting in the reality that it requires a more extensive and lengthy effort and process to “fix.”

Blacks are demanding segregated spaces on public property.

Fair for the opposite on private property?

I still have no clue how ESG even came about as a bona fide rating metric for large corporations, especially the ones that are publicly traded. If you look at every rating that an S&P uses like let's say corporate governance for example, then you can tie its origin back to a federal statute like ERISA for starters. But I'm still struggling to find anything concrete on ESG as a rating tool, it's like it appeared from nowhere. Who commissioned it? What law does a regulator like the SEC cite when performing an examination or investigation into a company's ESG or lack of ESG footprint? Very strange.
