No dude, pay attention. JBE had a bunch of good legislation blocked at committee level, including minor tort reform.

Foster’s tort reforms helped tremendously, especially with respects to Med Mal and workman’s comp. Now, we need more serious reform with respects to car accidents and slip-n-fall.

slip n falls died with those tort reforms, bro

It helped who? Medical malpractice "reform" only helped the insurance companies make a bigger profit. That's it. It also destroyed the rights of people legitimately hurt by medical malpractice.

Why citizens of a state want to give up their constitutional right to access the courts so that large insurance companies can make more money is beyond me. Some of you are brainwashed.

To keep my right to go to trial, I don't understand why we have to pay the second highest car insurance rates in the nation and make it so trial attorneys build lavish complexes with heliports.

Not veto tort reform when it passes the legislature.

They have no clue about these issues; they simply repeat whatever bs propoganda that the insurance companies are putting out at the time.

I don't hate the player or the game though. It's good business to manipulate the public into doing your bidding with false promises of lower rates.

People need to take jury duty seriously. It’s as important as voting.

This^^^^. There is no better way to have a direct impact on the system than to send a message as a juror when someone tried to shove bullshite in your face.

A lot of things died in committee due JBE compadres.

I am confused by your post. Just how many compadres does a Democratic governor have in a Republican controlled Louisiana House and Senate? Seems like the cronies you mention would be mostly elected Republicans.

For stores maybe, but not for sidewalks and municipalities. I’m defending against a whole litany of silly cases involving trip and fall right now

If rates are lower won’t the insurance companies make less money?

High rates aren’t good. High rates hurt the consumer. They help both insurance companies and attorneys.

Conspiring with physicians to build cases of hundreds of thousands of dollars of future medicals that will never happen and they know they will never happen.

Stop what JBE is doing right now and enact meaningful tort reform.

It can't get any more simple than that.

Some of you baws have been brainwashed to think 95% of your car insurance bill goes to Gordon and Bart settling $20,000 claims out of court.

It's worked pretty damn well, so kudos to billionaires like Warren Buffet who could buy every PI lawyer in the country tomorrow and wipe his a-hole with them if he really wanted to.

Are you serious or trolling?

Alario controlled the senate. Instead of sending the tort reform bill to insurance he sent it to a judiciary committee with Democratic chair.

The senate had a LOT of Democratic chaired committees including but not limited to: Finance, Revenue and fisc; Governmental affairs had the freakin' chair of the democratic party as a chair!.

Get educated.
