This is why I never get involved in these threads because the lack of knowledge about firearms is infuriating. Legal to own (without modification) one pull one round fired. Any idiot can shoot 45 rounds in a minute with a 9mm.

Military style firearms have full auto capabilities, ie you pull and hold the trigger and it fires till it’s out of rounds.

ARs are one round per trigger pull the same as 9mm pistol.

A handgun ban on a national level is impossible. Going after handguns now also isn’t part of the playbook. They chip away at the edges first.

They did a great job normalizing gays as friendly tv characters for years then the rights came now it’s everywhere.

It won’t so easy with guns. I don’t like guns but I know why we need them. I would be willing to take them away from crazy people but a better solution is to lock up the mentally unstable as they we just some other weapon if guns weren’t available.

Contrast that with the popular notion among conservatives that the outright banning of some drugs is and can be affective.

How can banning one item be possible, but banning another impossible?
