When is the last time CPI has been negative (prices actually gone down). The answer is” the great financial crisis”. So sure prices can come down. All it takes is about 16-20% unemployment. The prices that the president can get down he is. Oil, interest rates, highly regulated industries by cutting regulations.
Also the fact that people don’t understand the difference between a currency swap and a handout is pathetic. But people know these things (at least the media and politicians do) they just lie about it.

Price of a new pickup will not drop much because of the labor contracts that the auto makers agreed to.
Health care prices are not going to drop either.
Everyone is raising their prices in order to compensate.
Federal Reserve lowering the prime would help some.

What Trump DID run on, first and foremost and was the #1 issue, was the Southern border. And not even three months into his term, he had that shite completely under control. We have the fewest illegal crossings in almost 60 years.
