Everyone shut up and let him cook! As a southpaw myself, I had to and still must endure incredible hardships.

Doesn’t the government already pay enough without this nonsense?

Antoine Dubuclet: This sugar planter was a wealthy Black slave owner, whose estate was valued at $264,000 and who owned over 100 enslaved people. Antoine Dubuclet Jr. was the State Treasurer of Louisiana from 1868 to 1878. Before the American Civil War, Dubuclet was one of the wealthiest African Americans in the nation. After the war, he was the first person of African descent to hold the office of Louisiana treasurer.

The Metoyer family: This family of free Black planters in Natchitoches Parish collectively owned 215 enslaved people in 1830

My history professor in college pointed this out during a lecture and some black students left the class. The next lecture he said. "I'm sorry if bothered you, but it's the truth".

This is why the left hates history.

I'm a generous guy. I'd be willing to accept a catfish plate with all the trimmings and a few beers and let them slide on the balance of what they owe.

Slavery was an awful and evil thing; there is no doubt.

However, would modern descendants of slaves be better or worse off if there had never been slavery in this country?

Does her math include costs for welfare, benefits, crime and incarceration over the last century plus?

Give them a voucher for $300K, then a bill for the cost African Americans have put on this country since their emancipation...

How can you pay reparations to dead people. For your information those people over 175 years old that had SS #'s are really still alive.

Should be $0, but I won’t say no to free money.

Actually, should be more.

To clarify- this means every single person that gave their life in any war, conflict, or other patriotic reason
