i agree i wish our southern governors had fought harder to preserve segregation! their failure on that front has resulted in little rock public schools being 80% minority majority and only 23% are proficient in reading!
say it with me democrats! segregation now! segregation tomorrow! segregation forever!

Political arguments no longer center around whether the government should be able to do something, instead it’s how they should use their power in a way that one side likes.
I dont understand your take here
We arent craving control, we are demanding the part the founding fathers promised, the pursuit of happiness
My take is the complete opposite. We just lived thru 4 years of a govt that did nothing to advance our pursuit. Zero.
They didnt enforce our laws
They didnt defend our borders
They didnt investigate theft and fraud
They didnt abide by Title IX regs for womens sports
They didnt challenge or investigate election inconsistencies
They didnt intervene on vaccines, firings, treatments, etc
and on and on and on
Your take is that you want less govt involvement. Well, you got it in spades. Being the party of less govt, suddenly became the party of the wild, wild west. Chaos. Anarchy. Thats what less govt eventually becomes
The pendulum is swinging back, and it looks harsh, but its simply restoring order to those that feasted off not being challenged by governing authority. Its how white liberal women seized control. The push back is them not wanting govt to do its job. They want the control that less govt allowed them

Dick Cheney gave one of the better defenses of the patriot act, enhanced interrogation, indefinite detentions, etc. I heard after 9/11.
To paraphrase he said these methods are preventing another major attack and if there is another major attack every complaining about these methods will voluntarily give up much more of their civil liberties for security.
The justification looks even more outrageous when you realize people just need to be convinced they are under attack to give up their liberties for security.

I used to believe conservatives generally wanted the government to have less control, but now I see most people just want the government to control them in a way they like.
what the frick do you think ICE is trying to do????

If you really think Trump and his populism represent more government control, after watching the years of covid response with the left in control, you are not a very intelligent person!

With the Venezuela and Iran situations you're seeing a lot of revisionism about both "Deep State" and "globalism"

Its a very obvious concern troll tactic where they conflate the idea of having any political opinion whatsoever into being in favor of big government. Yes I want people who share my same views running the government and taking actions to further advance those views. Go ahead and call me pro government or whatever else but this little game wont work.

The left has completely bought in to the Russian ploy. They have been sowing this discontent since the 40’s and before.

SFP is an unpopular poster on this site, but he pretty much nails it here. Populism is rule of the majority, and the majority will always want more things for themselves. Freedom is the sacrifice to get those things.
Populism was the only weapon strong enough to effectively wield against the New World Order. I’m glad Trump pulled that sword from the stone. The trick is bury it again when we’ve vanquished the NWO.

As it turns out, "Pax Americana" is unaffordable.
At least, to the USA.
For London/NATO, bankrupting the US is going to hurt some, but they will find a way to soldier on.
The US is not supposed to have a choice in the matter.

This is a Fourth Turning. An event timeline that plays out over a decade or more. It is never easy.

You want to know why we will remain the World's Police for the foreseeable future?
We import all of our cheap electronics from China, along with plastic products and cheap textile products. This can also be said of Vietnam and India. Cellphones, ipads, computers.
We import cheap car parts and numerous agricultural products from Mexico. Some places put the number at 1/3 of our fresh produce.
We import numerous minerals and crude oil from Canada.
We import many of our pharmaceuticals from Europe, specifically Ireland and Switzerland.
We import oil from the middle east in vast quantities.
Cars from Japan and Korea.
Precious minerals from Africa.
Coffee from South America.
Somewhere in the neighborhood of 20% of every dollar spent in the US is spent on things imported. And that is significantly tilted towards cheap product that is the basis of low income life.
So yeah. Until we unbundle our economy and our very fabric of life from the rest of the world and be completely economically independent, we will always be involved in the world's affairs.
We will never, willingly, allow the world to devolve into a conflict like WW2. So we play police.
It is why libertarian isolationist people like Rand Paul and their foreign policy views are retarded.
You have to isolate yourself from the world economy first.
And the first President to really make any moves in that direction in a real way is Trump.
If you really want to get to a point where we aren't the World Police, the first thing you need to cheer for is Drill Baby Drill.

The US starved 6 million (maybe as many as 10 mil, we don't really know) of their own people?
WTF are you talking about?
Unless you are saying abortion is murder. Then......yeah.

I wouldn't refer to all of this Somalian daycare fraud as populism, but that's just me.
Obtw, SFP, you were on here trying to minimize the fraud in Minnesota when it first broke. Do you think your buddy Timmy Walz would've dropped out of his re-election campaign if there was nothing to hide?

This is not because of "limited government". This because a certain group chooses not to enforce current law.
