I didn't say I believe every word in it wholeheartedly ( i actually thought it was way too academic and just began skimming towards the end).

the basic premise makes sense.

but i wouldn't expect you and I agree on even that much

and actually, i'd feel pretty weird if we (ever) did

It says America lights itself up too much.

I know in my small city, Lafayette, every streetlight is a goddamn torch that illuminates far beyond reason.

Not to mention, I think drowning out the night sky through high-intensity sodium lamps deprives city dwellers of viewing a night sky that offers us a visual perspective of our place in the universe.
