Does it ever make you feel bad that you have essentially wasted hours, maybe even days, talking and debating with a brick wall (displacedbuckeye)?

Usually do it while I'm catching up on ICHE or IDSA. Multi-tasking is fun!

I'm denying that I use charts in ways that misinterpret the data in a fashion you can refute, yes.

That wouldn't be necessary if he'd just admit he was wrong. Same goes for any of you. It's when you dig in for no reason that I waste your time.

Brookings is "effectively" 100% FOS.

First off, what the bill effectively allows for states is not what the bill proposes. The ACHA maintains PEC protections, as you know.

Secondly, states can obtain limited waivers. But to obtain those, a host of conditions must be met. The waivers could include rate leveling for PEC vs non-PEC policies, but they have to demonstrate coincident reduction in premium costs, increasing the number of people insured, or results otherwise benefiting the state’s public interest.

i.e., if current ACA policies hypothetically cost $10000/yr, and a state changes law and competition so that the price of an identical non-PEC policy drops to $6000/yr and deductions are cut in half, but PEC policies remain unchanged at $10K, that would be in the public good.

Sadly, you'd claim to hate the unleveling even though it wouldn't cost the PEC individual one extra cent.

No, we're still on the first two points.

Focus.

Not until we settle the earlier-raised point of your false statements. Link or admit they were purposefully incorrect.

Allowing the state to seek a waiver for community rating and EHBs in no way maintains PEC protections.

The more likely scenario is non-PEC policies drop to $3000/yr while those with PEC clauses rise to $20,000/yr. Because of the numbers involved, states could claim it balances out.

Or they could claim they would have a high-risk pool. We know from experience that these are often woefully underfunded, with massive waiting lists.

This does not 'maintain PEC protections'.

Of course it does.
I laid that out for you.

False.
The ACHA precludes that.

Wrong again.

1. Sure, go ahead and link all the children dying in the streets because their parents were denied health insurance.

2. Nothing like watching her stumble through explaining how vehicle purchasing, operation, and registration works.

Charts weren't even mentioned until page 8.

Now, in order, shall we?

Of course, those same people would have to put up a $10-$15k deductible, plus a 50% co-insurance

But they would have insurance tho dude!!!

Obamacare has imploded. I know that United Healthcare pulled out of Texas this year, and we've seen companies all over the country doing likewise.

Obamacare was horrible. Only a complete dolt or an Obama fanboy would still try to put lipstick on that pig.

You haven't done that yet.

You also didn't admit you were wrong on the second point. Long way to go before we get to the third.

Jimmy Kimmel is simply engaging in what left-wing Hollywood fools love to do more than anything, which is virtue-signaling. And in this case, he's fellating the one and only black president of the United States of America.

You can't virtue-signal any better than That, ladies and gentlemen.

Except he doesn't mention Obama, Obamacare, or insurance at all.

I feel like this should cut both ways lol.

What joy in life does a person get constantly trying to defend themselves indefinitely every time they are caught in a lie or being factually or contextually incorrect about some aspect of a discussion?

That is a crippling level of cognitive dissonance and ego preservation.

....Though really, what are any of us doing arguing politics on the internet
