I believe with vaccines he'll just help people be more aware of the risks or the pros, but you can decide to get the vaccine or not. Seems we will still have all our skittles, Lucky Charms, Doritos, etc, but I assume the ingredients will be more align like they are in Europe and not 100s of ingredients in them? Or do ya'll think some of these foods may actually be banned? I don't eat many junk foods with the exception of tortilla chips, that's my weakness. Oh and Sweet Tarts. What other kinds of changes would he implement as head of HHS? Big cuts, how food is labeled (more transparency or easier to read)?

ETA: I apologize for maybe bad sentence structure and wording; I don't have my glasses on and can't see half the shite I'm typing out.

Some of that stuff got rubber stamped when it was supposed to be denied. RFK is gonna stop that from happening

Re-formulated or whatever it's called

To me he can get lots done because the health problems (and astronomical costs for treating them) are well documented. It really should be criminal what the government has done to minorities as far as their food quality goes. EBT/SNAP should only pay for healthy foods and not create another generation of obese diabetics who die way too young. Coincidentally, the government blames inequity on why they are the way that they are.

He's going to take the poisons out of our junk food and we're all going to be fit and good looking. Well, only some of us will be good looking but we'll all be fit.

The truth is he doesn’t know and we don’t know. And most of the board are scared to death to make a statement on what they believe about vaccines, fluoride, food sources, prescription drugs, etc because they know they’ll have to go back and scrub their posts when the whim of MAGA changes and they have to accept the exact opposite of what they posted.

I do. When he says there are only 3 ingredients in french fries in Europe yet there are 17 ingredients in fries in the States then just what the hell are we putting in our bodies that the government seems to be okay with?

At a minimum I would expect him to ban some of the chemicals that he keeps referring to that are banned elsewhere in the world. This shouldn’t be controversial and if Mac and Cheese is less yellow who cares?

If the ingredients are known to cause cancer or bad health problems though? We wouldn't want meth or nicotine in our children's cereal either would we? I mean, we all know those products are bad, but what if we were told they weren't, and put in the food and renamed. We wouldn't be ok with that. I don't like nanny state either but seems in certain situations it is needed regarding our health.

I don't think tobacco or alcohol should be banned, but you have to be a certain age to buy. And when you buy, you understand you are buying beer or cigarettes. When it comes to our food, that kids eat especially, there can be 100 ingredients in it, with possible very harmful ones, that we have no clue about. Many of us, can't even pronounce some of those words

all he has to do is say “food assistance programs no longer pay for food with XYZ ingredients”

the manufacturers will change overnight.

The nanny state breeds idiocy.

Europe is self annihilating, do you want that too?

Hopefully just ban the poisonous additives that are banned everywhere else. That would be a yuuuuge win.

Inform the people, let them make better choices.

If they dont, then why do we want to save them?

People don't want to be forced to take vaccines, I don't know many that think vaccines should be banned. I know overwhelmingly people have complained about prescriptions and how they lead to addictions and are a major problem. I honestly don't know much about the fluoride stuff other than it's in toothpaste and our water. I've never put any thought into fluoride.

Should we allow 12-year-olds to buy beer, cigarettes, and crack? All we have to do is inform them, right? Should we allow companies to put a little WD40 in our Gatorade but rename it to whatever long arse word nobody understands

Well that didn't work with covid vaccines did it? Inform the people - our government didn't tell us one thing about adverse side effects of the shot. Strange to say the least when every medicine on tv has to have adverse side effects listed in the commercial. Let them make better choices - tell that to the people who lost their jobs because they didn't take the shot when they made their choice.

Bottom line, the people don't always get to make their own choices, even concerning themselves. The government has definitely overstepped their boundaries in that regard.
