Pretty much. That is why libs label conservatives as a whole as racists and white supremacists. They hate us for our opposing political views but label us all as racists so they can justify the hate.

He didn’t back down. The left hates it when you are a person if conviction.

He was successful with little to no help from the government, which is the ultimate sin in the leftist rule book.

Rush spoke the truth.... NO BS.

He knew the liberals and the MSM better than most and he pulled back the curtain and exposed them for the lying, cheating, dirty, evil scumbags that they are.

He explained conservatism better than most and the libs hated that.

Rush seemed to know the swamp monsters so well and could correctly predict what they were up to. He predicted all the deep state crap with Obama several years ago and predicted the next Republican president would have all kinds of hell to deal with.

Basically.... he pulled the mask off the libs’ faces and exposed them.

I saw this mentioned as well. What exactly was that about? I had never heard of it specifically before.

Before my time but he recurring segment in the 1980's where he'd read off the names of people who'd died of AIDS over Dionne Warwick's "I'll Never Love This Way Again".

Rush did later apologize for it.

Easy. They're Communists. Communists don't like the non-conforming who don't tow the party line. They think they deserve death.

He was a popular voice of opposition to them. One of the very few.

Idk if you've noticed....but most of the loud voices out there...are liberal and Democrat voices. Any loud voice that isn't liberal or Democrat...is collectively squashed by everyone else.

Quite simple....he exposed them for what they are, often times way before others could see it, and he told the truth about their motives and agendas.

I’ll give you an analogy from a Naval aviator’s perspective..... When flying a combat mission, one doesn’t expect enemy fire until they are within range or over the target.

He simply pointed out what they do; which is something the media, just as today, refused to do. Light, cockroaches, etc.

Kinda.

Conservatives think liberals are wrong and try to show them how they are wrong.

Liberals think conservatives are evil and need to die.

Very simple- he told the truth. He never used PC speech and didn't pull punches.

He mocked them.

That’s it.

It occurred over the course of two weeks. Rush issued as deep an apology as I’ve seen from him later on for those segments. He said it mocked people who were dying excruciating deaths and it was one of the things he’s regretted the most.

As someone left of center, I really don't hate him, and I really don't care about him at all.

He was a far right guy who would lie all the time to get his followers to get riled up. (smoking doesn't cause cancer, etc...)

How would you feel if the far left all flocked to one radio personality that was like AOC? You would think they were crazy.

He was just some radio guy to me, nothing more nothing less.

Rush mainly just spoke the obvious truth. Liberals hate that.

It was one of the first things I remember him doing when his show got to my market. He also had a call-in discussion where he shed crocodile tears over the complaints, and asked for suggestions for other songs. Of course the call-in suggestions were much worse, causing Rush to faux-fluster like Foghorn Leghorn.

Rush giggling over the deaths of innocent people was pretty much him at his worst.
