How? Do you have any idea how many Americans live in South Korea? Try 150,000. Not to mention our allies. Combined there are 2 million foreigners living in SK. What about them? What about the South Koreans themselves?
You're just dim if you think it's as simple as evacuating the country and that there aren't 15 million questions that pop up when you say "just evacuate the country".
Even if it was feasible to evacuate the country who's going to take all these people in? What type of living conditions are all these evacuees going to have? Plus how long would it be before those people could go back to their homes because of radiation. It's a nightmare scenario.

The family's of any US soldiers in South Korea were moved out, and far away from the DMZ months ago. The US soldiers stationed in and around The DMZ actually sign up for that duty on a 2 for 1 duty time scale.
South Korea , and Seoul have contingencies in place for the onslaught of artillery that will be rained down on them. Aka subways, bunkers, and other means. SK has had 60yrs to prepare for Kim Fatty.

I'd be afraid that ISIS would take credit for it.

When did this happen? I just got orders for 2ID replacement battalion. No signing up involved.

What good things would happen?
You planning on killing 24 million innocents? Legitimate genocide

Yeah, but there are other people besides soldiers that live in Seoul. I have a close friend who lives there for instance and I'm hoping he's getting to safety.

Good friend of mine who is near retirement was offered that. Said if you volunteered for it you could do a 2:1 deal with them. He is in military intelligence, close to retirement, and has been over there before so that may have been an issue. Have had other friends sign up for a similar deal to be stationed on the DMZ also.

Unless something changed very recently you don't "sign up" for duty in Area 1. You're just assigned there.

Little difference than asking "What bad things do you people think would happen if Iran nuked North America?'

I did a tour in Area 1 myself. You can sign up for what's called a COT(consecutive overseas tour) but that just extends your time at wherever you're at. I'd say about 5% of guys did that, maybe. For most people you wind up in Area 1 like you do anywhere else. Luck of the draw on orders. The army would never be able to fill that place with volunteers. Most of the towns north of Seoul are shitholes.

WWIII and the draft will be back. The irony of a POTUS who dodged the draft 5 times would lead us into WWIII and bring back the draft is mind numbing. Country is fricked as long as Trump and Bannon are in power.

Unless fat boy has some terminal illness we don't know about, he won't do shite.

Put all alternate endings aside and assassinate the fat kid. Seriously. Cut the head off the snake.

Nothing, as long as Trump and then Pence were in the White House.

I'd also like to point out if we nuke NK and they successfully (i.e. likely) get a nuclear bomb to Seoul, then we'd lose more American civilians (not soldiers) than we did in 9/11. Add the soldiers and non-Americans into it, then it's the single most catostrophic event to the Western and Eastern worlds since Mao.

Wow. Seems real unAmerican wishing fellow countrymen to die because of what they said on a political board.
Have you actually read three political board. I've seen countless "I wish liberals were dead" posts.

I mean, killing a bunch of oppressed poor people and likely some of their neighbors would be a bad thing from any reasonable person's perspective.
Wars have casualities, sometimes you still have to fight them.
Ignoring the plight of the North Korean people isn't helping them.
Some may die in a war, but it may mean future generations actually live in freedom.

The number one bad thing is that any country with nuclear weapons will be told that in a disagreement with the U.S. they would be wise to launch against us first because we will launch. On the world stage, other nations alter their policies to address ours.
